So many choices around the Capital Square you should just keep walking and choose another restaurant. We went for Sunday brunch. I chose the salad with brussel sprouts and bacon and asked the waiter what he thought. "So Good" is what he said! The salad was mostly greens with a couple of boiled soggy brussel sprouts thrown in and ranch... More

Good Margaritas even though they aren't on the menu. Great hot pretzel appetizer. Inside is not big, but it is bustling

My husband and I stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was very busy, which we felt must be a good sign. Due to the crowd, the noise level was very high. We were seated right away despite the crowd. The bar has a large selection of beers. I ordered a pretzel with beer cheese dip but... More

Hubby and booked a last minute overnight at the Madison Concourse Hotel, which backs up to The Coopers Tavern. Looking for a place to get dinner, this came up on Google "within walking distance" and we are so glad it did! We walked over, about 7:30 on a Saturday night, the place was full (and very loud) but we found... More

Ventured around the corner from our hotel on a recent Sunday morning and got a nice plate full of comfort breakfast food. The place was not crowded so it was nice and relaxing in there. Also, the bartender had European soccer matches on the TV which I enjoyed with my meal. One complaint- this place needs better coffee. Some other... More

We enjoyed the twist they put on a standard sandwich and the choice of having "greens" or "chips" with the meal. (I prefer greens and husband goes for chips). Great selection of beers!

Coopers is one of those places that is always good and you are never disappointed. It is great if you just want to socially hangout with some of your friends and have a beer and a light meal. The food is good and not overwhelming with options. I really enjoy going Sunday afternoons to sit and have a beer and... More

Went on an early Saturday afternoon & ordered off the brunch menu. Had the corn beef. It was good. Wife had the eggs Benedict and said it was the best breakfast she's ever had. Had a bit it was really good. Wish I'd gotten it to. Drink menu looked good but we didn't really get adventurous. Overall nice, low key... More
