Best Ice Cream in town. Butter Pecan is just incredible. Classic Hometown Service, Great and impeccable. I will go over and over if my weight limit permits.. Never a doll moment while grazing this great Ice cream.

Maybe I'm biased, since I grew up in Madison, but I've sampled ice cream in a lot of places and Babcock Hall is still at the top of the list. Fresh made, real ingredients, inventive flavors and old favorites - and huge portions. The only thing not to like is the limited parking. Take home a pint or two. They... More

My wife insists that ice cream was invented at Babcocks. Who am I to argue? I had the sundae of the month. Mocha chip with hot fudge, really gooey caramel, more chocolate chips, and real whipped cream. Fantastic!

Came to see the factory and eat ice cream and was amazed at the food being served. Had their breakfast burrito which was so good. Freshly prepared and a monster of a meal. Coffee is really good and well their ice cream is to die for. Had the chocolate peanut butter which was out of this world.

Ok, so many colleges offer dairy treats but only WisCOWsin offers the original AG school dairy bar with the original premium-style ice cream. Hint: get a dish so you can savor longer than a cone.

Stopped here after walking and touring the UW campus. Ice cream was delicious and fresh. Afterward we went up to the observation deck and watched how the ice cream and cheese were made. Pretty neat way to get out of the heat and have a treat!

It is a fun place to hangout with the family as you are touring the campus. Stop take a break either inside or outside depending on the weather.

Babcock Hall on the University of Wisconsin campus is an institution. Not only do they have the best ice cream in the state, but the cheese is preeety darn good, too. 😉 If you can get the peach ice cream (it's seasonal), your tummy will be so happy.

A fun place to bring visitors and children. Babcock Hall on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus is named for Steven Babcock, who in 1890 invented a method for measuring milk's butterfat content and thus put a stop to the then-common practice of watering down milk. Babcock Hall today has a charming cheese and ice cream shop open to the public,... More

Description
One of the biggest names in modern Dairy (Babcock) combined with Ice Cream (which I, ice cream expert, rank as a five). This needs adding.
