Staff was terrific. Chef even made shrimp & grits special order without tomato, and it was amazing. Would go back again & again if we lived in town. Each course better than the next.

We enjoyed this place so much, that we went there each day. Not always for dinner, of course. We sat at the bar, and had EXCELLENT service (thank you Kelly and Mark!). The wine was lovely, as well as the warm bread. They have bacon...More

From the website,I was expecting a large restaurant. Not at all. Very small, intimate, more bar seating I think than tables. Very pleasant service. large wine and cocktail menu. gulf fish was prepared to suit my allergies...appreciated, for sure. Companion said the mushroom dish (vegetarian)...More

I got the lamb, and it was grossly under-seasoned and turned to paste in my mouth. The veggies were fine, but everything on my plate was a shade of gray. My girlfriend ordered the steak (medium rare), and it was so dry I couldn't even...More

We are sorry you had a bad experience.      You said the lamb wasn't seasoned but this is how it is prepared:      It is cooked by the Soux Vie which guarantees its tenderness. Then it is finished off in the oven to the...More

Your experience at the Grapevine was out of the ordinary. The bacon strips you mentioned are not really appetizers. We give this out free to our customers during our Happy Hour. In Louisiana, we call that lagniappe - which means “something extra”. As for the...More

With some sadness I write this review of a place my family has enjoyed in the past. We were greeted warmly and seated, then things went downhill. It took a long time to get our wine on the table. My son noticed a smudge on...More

In reference to the smudge you found on your wine glass, this was a misfortune. We have a superior wine glass cleaning system. They are all washed in a complicated sanitizing Auto-Clor machine. Then the glasses are polished on a special machine which makes sure...More

This beautiful two-story building was erected in 1809 by Antoine Angué where he opened the Vieux Carré’s first Creole Bistro called, The Restaurant d’Orleans. Today, the property is owned by the noted local business team of Pam Fortner and Earl Bernhardt. Lovingly renovated with its prestigious past in mind, The Orleans Grapevine continues the tradition by offering discriminating diners the best in fine dining and an extensive wine list in a beautiful, intimate yet relaxed atmosphere. We feature many unique and seasonal special dishes & specials.
