Go for a late breakfast....wait in line (hopefully not raining because the line is outside)...eat hearty and that's all you'll need for the rest of the day...at least until dinner ! Small and very popular....we tried to return on Monday AM but they are closed on Mondays.

Very good service. Nice ambiance with music all around... Large variety of breakfast menu. Food is excellent too. When in New Orleans, this restaurant is a must.

We arrived and were immediately seated since there were only two of us. The coffee was excellent and our cups were never below half full. The mimosas and bloody Mary's were great. This place is simply well run. We're both had the bananas foster French toast pain Perdu which was simply amazing. Don't miss this place.

My husband and I go to Ruby Slipper probably at least once a month. We love big weekend breakfasts and this is one of our favorite spots. The service is always great and we've tried nearly everything on the menu. There are daily specials, which are almost always good. If the cochon is one of the specials that day --... More

We dined on Sat 4/20. There was a long line, but seemed to go fast. Our server was great, very friendly and attentive. We ordered drinks from the bar (Bloody Mary, Peach Bellinis) - they were very good. The food comes out pretty fast. In our party of 4, two had breakfast - both eggs benedict, and 2 had lunch... I get breakfast here fairly often as it's close to work. The migas and the eggs cochon are good. The usual breakfast stuff is available. The omelettes are a bit leaden - not a fan. At lunch it's a soup/sandwich/salad type of place with various specials. Coffee could be improved. Not the best breakfast in NOLA, but probably one of... More

Mid-City Ruby Slipper is the best. One morning I had breakfast at the Ruby Slipper in the CBD, and at the original mid-city location the next. It was no contest. Breakfast at mid-city was beautifully cooked, wonderfully flavored, and served hot. We were there on a week day this trip, but on a previous trip we had had one of... More

We went for breakfast, and it was awesome! Great local atmosphere, un-stuffy, and amazing breakfast food. Cheerful and attentive staff, and the food was really well prepared and served. Nice selection on the menu. Gigantic mimosas!! Definitely worth a visit!

Did a search for a reasonable price lunch on travel advisor. We picked this place and hit it right. My wife likes to eat light and ordered the shrimp and grits and I ordered their club with a side salad. Plenty of food and reasonably priced. Highly recommend this place for lunch.

Easter Sunday brunch was marvelous! The atmosphere, food and service was great. We enjoyed the restaurant so much, we went there 4 times. Visited both the Mid-city and Magazine St. location. Highly recommend you give it a try!
