Spent $114 on two steaks and a side of shoestring potatoes. We sat outside in the courtyard. Our server splattered ice and water on the table every time he refilled our glasses. Our bread was covered when he brought it to the table but was partly burned on top when we removed the cloth. The side of shoestring potatoes came... More

This is our favorite Ruth Chris. We have eaten several times in Baton Rouse Ruth Chris and Nola blows it away. The restaurant is very nice, I love the private booths. The service is always excellent, I have never had bad service here. The food is fantastic!! We eat here often when we go gamble, it is right next door... More

After a lovely brunch much earlier in the day, we opted for a seat at the RC bar on Christmas Eve. I believe our bartender was named Randall. He did a superlative job of keeping everyone happy on an incredibly busy night. He made a special vodka mule for me, which I really enjoyed. We ordered dinner and the presentation... More

Major mess during the holidays. Even with a reservation, waited almost an hour for table & the place was not busy. Dirty dishes on tables & wait stands. Don't think I'll be back. I am local and will go back to Charlie's or Crescent City. Could have been great experience but sadly no.

Enjoyed our dinner as always. The ribeye was perfectly cooked. We had brussel sprouts that were grilled perfectly. Potatoes were perfect. Crab cakes were fresh and had lots of crab meat. Our server was named Tim. He was attentive and friendly. We appreciated how considerate and prompt he was. The manager stopped by several times to check on us. We... More

Had a perfect birthday dining experience at Ruth's Chris on Fulton! Had reservations (which I recommend!) so my wait time was minimal and you can tell they were expecting me since we had a private booth with little "Happy Birthday" décor spread across out table. Our Waiter, Langston, was absolutely perfect!!! He was both cordial and attentive to us and... More

Arrived at Ruth Chris, Samuel Smith, the manager greeted us, said table would be ready in a few minutes. He kept checking on us to make sure we were okay. After 15 minutes, he bought us a round of drinks, very apologetic for the wait. We were seated about 30 minutes after reservation. Had a delicious meal, we were very... More

One of my favorite meals is the Thanksgiving turkey, stuffing and gravy! The hostess told us that they seated almost 800 tables during the day. Considering how busy they were the food and the service were outstanding, nothing but the best. I also appreciated the take home "doggie bag" of turkey and fixings. It was nice to have a snack... We started with a cup of seafood gumbo that was hot and full of flavor. We loved the hot French Bread served throughout dinner. My wife had the filet on a bone and I had the cowboy ribeye on a bone. The steaks where served on very hot plates-The Ruth Chris way-and the were both superb! I have to say... More

We had to wait extra long to be seated, but once in place, ordering and dining went very well. Service was good. The special Thanksgiving Dinner menu was not inexpensive, but very generous, including an extra meal each to take home. That's right! We got 2 meals each for the menu price - one was to take home for later.... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
