They let us bring the kids! What a fun way to spend an evening. We particularly liked the act and the "steak and cake" app. Interesting beer selection too.

We absolutely loved our night at Three Muses! We accidentally showed up an hour before our reservation, and they were able to squeeze us in a bit early, which we appreciated. We had the table by the window, which you should definitely request! It was a lot of fun people-watching outside on the street while we enjoyed the experience in... More

Small plates: excellent scallops and sweet, perfectly prepared popcorn shrimp. Clever take on fish tacos. Once inside (make a reservation) service was excellent. Gruff attendant at the front door who, perfect NY Deli style, barked "You have the table for 90 minutes" and opened the front door. Otherwise great evening of good food, drink, and music..

We walked up to Three Muses on a Monday night around 6. Were given a reservation time about 7 with a tip to check back 15 minutes or so early. We did and were seated. Seatings may be for a limited time -- initially ours was 90 minutes. That is so the room moves and folks don't sit all night... More

The atmosphere was nice. The place was crowded and obviously popular. My husband and I sat in a small corner and had drinks, the dates appetizer and the lamb sliders. The dates were pretty yummy, but the lamb sliders are where it's at. They were a plate of delicious, moist goodness. I'd go back for those! On a side note,... More

Wasn't our favorite restaurant while in Nola. We went to get a couple drinks, some food and enjoy some jazz. The jazz was good, but the food was just okay. We felt it was overpriced but then again the entertainment was free. A glass of Pinot Noir was $10 so our bill added up quick. Definitely head to Frenchman St... More

Maybe it was an off night? The music was okay, not great. One of us was seated behind a pillar and couldn't see anything. Food was awful -- including the vaunted lamb sliders and bacon wrapped dates. I'd rather eat elsewhere and head to a different location on Frenchman.

My family was looking forward to music and small plates at this restaurant. The seating was cramped and uncomfortable. The band that played was a French duet who were somewhat boring. Service was decent. Food was average at best. Fried were very good. The other dishes we got lacked flavor and texture. Portion sizes and prices were on point with... More

I travel alone. I did not have reservations and did not know I should, you should. It was fine I got there when they opened and sat at the bar, small bar. Service good, checked with Chef about my cinnamon allergy. All good. Plates very small. Got the Steak and Sea. Best Crab cake I have ever had but I... More

its small, reservations required but the food and the music are worth any wait. if you want a real taste of nola, find this place and enjoy your time. because it is small, the turn over has to be timed so you get an hour and a half to hear the music and taste the food which is served tapas... Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
