Very rude staff. Good food but not typical at all and definitely too expensive for the small plates being served. I don't know enough about jazz to judge the live music, so I can just say that personally I found the band playing a bit...More

So much fun. My group had a blast. Everyone was in for a good time and the bartenders were not holding back. They offer a full bar and well worth the visit when in Frenchmen Street.

Fabulous atmosphere, the door staff don't allow it to become overcrowded like a lot of the places. You can enjoy nice food and a drink from a well stocked bar listening to the house jazz band in pleasant surroundings whilst the party rages on outside...More

We munched and drank cocktails listing to a great band. My favorite place of the night. It's small, I recommend reservations or hitting it later in the evening. The atmosphere is easy and the bathrooms were clean.

We arrived early last Saturday night for our 7:45 reservation and they were able to seat us 20 minutes before our reservation time. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable. We brought our four children ages ranging from 7-15. The scene was moderately family friendly...More

The club has a nice vibe with decent music, but nothing special for New Orleans. They are very greedy with the table and the food. We were almost late for our reservation, so I dropped off the wife and her mother, then went to park...More

We went to dinner here on the recommendation of the guide who put our tour together and based on the trip advisor reviews, I thought it sounded perfect. We wanted to go to someplace local, with live music, and not too expensive or overly fancy....More

Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward,
the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely
residential. Of course, folks around here love to go
out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere
in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the
festivities, well then so much the better! Home to
some of the most revered live music venues in New
Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining

I went with my teenagers. I wouldn't recommend taking children much younger than that, even in the late afternoon.

yes, you can order food at the bar. but the space is limited, unless you get a spot at the other end of the bar (fit for 2 person), that I think is the prime spot.
