La Macarena never disappoints. They care about their ingredients and it shows. Plenty of gluten free and vegan options. Definitely worth a visit whenever you’re uptown!

Manny was the ultimate host and very helpful with food suggestions. We had the sea bass special which was great and all of the extras were almost too much. The guacamole was the best we have had in town. Worth the trip for just that...More

It was our first visit so Manny (the owner) gave us some suggestions. The T-bone steak, black beans and plantains are amazing! It is cash only and very limited seating. Very casual too, wear flip flops & shorts and felt right at home.

Best black beans! Best pupusas! Best tamales! Everything is fresh:the veggies, the fruit, the eggs, the meat and seafood... and sourced locally too! It all tastes so clean: not too much salt, nothing too heavy, just full of flavor!

The food is made from scratch while you wait. The food is excellent, but don't come here if you are in a hurry. The owner is there--maybe he was the only one there. The place is tiny, only a few tables. We were there later...More
