Wonderful New Orleans breakfast. The Crab Benedict had enough crab to make this meal special. Great local atmosphere and displays of all the authors who have stayed at the Monteleone Hotel.

It's expensive but it's good. If your staying at the hotel it's probably worth it to just eat there because it's expensive everywhere. I got a crab cake and pina colada and I loved it

We had a wonderful dining experience at Criollo for Sunday breakfast on May 21. This was the last thing we did to end an outstanding four day stay at the Hotel Monteleone. We told the hostess we were in a bit of a hurry, as we had to get to the airport. Our server, Michael, was cheerful and attentive and... More

Stopped for lunch restaurant is located in Hotel Montelone. The hotel and the restaurant were beautiful and elegant. We had the Crab Louie Salad wish I had taken a picture presentation was amazing. This was one of the most delicious lunchs I've ever eaten. Our server Ina was an absolute delight.

I have eaten at the restaurant for lunch and was more impressed. The breakfast is al la carte and quite pricy. I asked for an english breakfast tea with milk on the side and the waitress who was not the friendliest brought me a huge pot of hot water, a tea bag and the milk was served in an espresso... More

Recommended by co-worker. Food was amazing...perfect portions, good variety. The vanilla bean dressing on salad was my favorite. Noone in our party was disappointed with their selections. Bill was quite reasonable for party of 6. It's a plus in the same hotel as carousel bar (which is also worth visiting)

We ate several meals here during our stay and I'm pretty sure I gained five pounds! The food is spectacular and the service is second to none. Every single person that waited on us was knowledgeable, helpful and so very, very nice!!! Loved the atmosphere!

I cannot speak highly enough of our server, Ina. She was super attentive, pleasant, funny, and just amazing! We were visiting from Detroit and she made our meal hands down the best one we had in NOLA. 5 stars Ina!

Our favorite place to dine in New Orleans. We were so pleased with the food and service at this restaurant, we ate breakfast here everyday for five days. Great menu options and exceptional, friendly, service. The entire staff is excellent, but ask to be seated at a table that Leon or Kathy are serving, they'll take extra great care of... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
