This has been my favorite place in New Orleans for a long time. Its not in the tourist area, but worth the trip. Amazing food in a great neighborhood atmosphere. Every dish is recommendable, so you can feel confident choosing any. Next to the Maple...More

What a neat place. Casual atmosphere. The place looks really small but it’s not! You actually get to walk through the kitchen and see them preparing food on the way to be seated at table. The gator sausage shrimp cheesecake was to die for and...More

When dining at Jacques-Imo’s, you are going for the experience as much as the food. Be prepared for a wait, a search for parking on neighborhood streets, and a loud atmosphere. There were a few small tables up front in the bar area, which had...More

The food is worth the wait, really. Really, really good food with interesting and fun spins on the Southern classics. Gigantic portions, and attentive staff. Our waitress wasn't particularly engaged or friendly, though.

Had an excellent dinner at this fun, kitschy, casual Cajun joint. Fried green tomato and calamari and special spicy brussel sprouts appetizers were amazing. Complimentary cornbread muffins and a fried oyster salad were outstanding too. For dinner, we enjoyed the fries chicken, crawfish etoufee and...More

We had read the wait could be quite long but arrived about 630 and got in with just a quick ten minute wait (I will say as we left about 830 there were lots and lots of people waiting!). The fried chicken was outstanding, the...More

Great food, impeccable service. And even better they can make almost anything on the menu gluten feee. They are willing to accommodate. Food was excellent. For once didn’t feel like a second class citizen needing to eat gluten free. Portions nice sized also.

Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the
greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down
the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate

students living in the area ensure that Uptown and
