We were satisfied and thrilled with our dining experience at Emeril's Delmonico. We started with oysters, unique in preparation. We had salads but would have eagerly enjoyed the soups they offered. I had the salmon, and my spouse enjoyed the duck. The food was wonderful, perhaps my single best dining experience ever. But even if the food had not been... More

We had a wonderful meal last night starting with the meat charcuterie platter, turtle soup, guappo salad, drum fish, snapper, filet, salmon and Pork chops for entrees. Everyone loved their food and the service was just perfect. We tried a NOLA sidecar beverage which was fun! They have a beautiful wine list. I love the homey style of the restaurant.... More

Just returned from my first visit to New Orleans. Thought pricing for was fair given similar dining options in the city. Staff was friendly, accomodating and respectful. My friend and I were short for time. I admit we were dressed for rain and a long day of sightseeing but decided to keep our reservation. If they were surprised by our... More

The dining room is lovely, and the staff is attentive and welcoming. The food was good, not great. Hubby had a fish dish, which he definitely enjoyed. Me, not so much. I had the petite filet, which was just ok. I also ordered a side of mushrooms, which were too salty to eat. We had no appetizers, 2 entrees, 2... More

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The staff was fantastic with a great flair for humor. The food was delicious. We spent two hours there and had a spectacular time. The dining room is small. Make reservations. If they have it, the king cake donut is delightful.

First, it was expensive, but oh so tasty. I had the catch of the day and my wife had the filet mignon with crab on top. The best she's ever had bar none. Both superb. The ice box key lime pie is to die for and the boudin balls to start with were excellent. So the dinning was fun, the... More

I made reservations online in advance, and the chef surprised us with an amuse bouche! Lovely atmosphere, delicious food!

We ate at Delmonico's on New Year's Eve and had a wonderful meal. The steak was delicious and the evening perfect. Beautiful restaurant, but we were surprised we had to walk through the kitchen to get to our dining room and then back through the kitchen when we left. Other than that, the evening was very nice. The trolley stops... More

Ate here on a weeknight, glad we had reservations because it was somewhat crowded. Anyway I rate the food 7/10. It was good but not the best. Their price is up there so I expected the food to be the same. Although their service is impeccable. There were 8 of us, and when we were served our entree they made... More

Very poor management and customer service. Upon arrival, the manager greeted our table only to make judgments on my company and myself. His discriminatory thoughts/actions led us to leaving our dinner early. Before we left though, our entree' FINALLY was served. Both of our meals looked and tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for the last... More

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
