I enjoy going to Lebanon's Cafe with a lot of people because we can have lots of different things and sample each. All of the dishes I have tried are packed with flavor. The hummus is so different than the old thick pasty store variety. It is very light and lemony. I am a serious lemon lover. I usually get... More

We were a party of 4 and started with Babaganoush, taboule, and hummus. All freshly made and each was absolutely amazing. We shared the lamb chops and chicken with veggies. It was succulent and each mouthful was a explosion of flavor!

Out of curiosity, I went here after looking over the menu online and ordered Hummus with Lamb Meat seeing that a locale food critic recommended it. I’m not a big fan of lamb, but have had lamb chops which I like, so I ordered this dish which consists of Lamb seasoned with chef style spices then sautéed with onions &... More

Service is good, dining inside or outside is nice. Didn't do my homework prior, it is BYOB and saw a lot of people with their wine bottles. The hummus is great. Pita bread served warm.

This is our favorite middle eastern restaurant in town. I love both the sandwiches and the dinner platters. We usually get the food to go because the restaurant is loud. If you like this style of food, you will like Lebanon's Cafe. Bring your own bottle because they do not have a liquor license.

Ordered grilled eggplant sandwich, it was awful. How can a kitchen screw up a vegetable sandwich! Tabouli was excellent Still a noisy place.

We are locals and regulars here. They are very consistent, and consistently good. We love the lentil soup - it is the best. Often share the combo kebab cause it's so big. Hummus is great, as are all the small plate appetizers. Oh, and the falafel is amongst the best around. Comparable to the middle east itself. And be sure... More

I was looking for someplace to eat that was nearby and not fast food and I found this gem. The restaurant has a lived-in appearance that lends to its appeal. It was lively with energy emanating from the many conversation being had by its patrons. Although many of the seats had ripped cushions it was a comfortable place. The menu... More

One of our favorite lunch spots in New Orleans. Terrific Middle Eastern food. Outdoor seating in view of the Carrollton streetcar line. They don't serve alcohol, but you can bring your own wine—no corkage fee.

This place is a regular. Love the chicken Shawarma and also the Lebanese tea. The biggest complaint is that most of their chair cushions are split and ripped and tattered with exposed nasty foam touching your clothes, skin. It's a shame that the management does not recover those chairs. It's been this way for years and years. When we go... More

Staying in Uptown / Carrollton

Neighbourhood Profile
Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
