Stopped in midday and took a few seats at the bar. Service was friendly and efficient. The sausage and duck gumbo was fantastic. Every person in my group loved their meal. Bravo!

Charlie and the rest of the wonderful staff took care of us nicely today. I really love their gumbo. Most people prefer dining downstairs, but I actually prefer being upstairs where it is quiet. Regarding parking, which is not part of Galatoire’s, be very careful...More

Our party of four had the best meal of our trip here. Our choices included Eggs Benedict, Crawfish Etouffee (Friday only), and trout cooked to perfection. At only $8, the Old Fashioned cocktail is divine and made with Maker's Mark bourbon. We ate as much...More

Get away from the touristy restaurants and enjoy “dining” at Galatoire. Sure you have to be a little dressy I.e. men in sport coats but that’s part of a nice dining experience. Unlike tourist places like Commanders that have totally relaxed and semblance of dress...More

Saw this on the Travel Channel and it looked interesting. What an incredible restaurant. Drinks were good, your martini comes with a small dish with 6 olives, 3 pearl onions, and a couple of peels of lemon. Warning, the olives aren't pitted. My wife had...More

I don’t know how many times I’ve been to Galatoire’s but it’s always the same. Great food, perfect service, a dining room unlike any other. The focus is on seafood. Oysters Rockefeller are a standard. Fish topped with crabmeat is my standard order despite vowing...More

This classic restaurant is one you don't want to miss in your visit to the French Quarter. Outstanding food (especially any crab dish), excellent service, comfortable ambience. What more could you want? A little pricey, but well worth it.

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
