This was our first visit to Lilette, and was very enjoyable. We dined on the nicely lit patio, as we were warned it could get noisy inside. We did notice it was very cold inside, while the weather was perfect for dining outdoors--a rare moment in New Orleans. Service was excellent. The spring vegetable salad was delicious; try sharing one.... More

We had a great lunch.....the anchovy salad and the beet salad were both great. My wife had a creamy vegetable soup to die for and I had oysters from Washington State. Good service. The only negative was that the servings were a little small. Will go back.

We chose to visit Lilette because we'd heard that their Duck Confit was great. We were not disappointed. The entire meal was delicious, though a bit pricey. I particularly recommend the Escargot and the Veal.

Delicious salad, fish, and dessert. No heavy cream sauces to cntend with. Nice selection of grilled vegetables with fish and butter wine sauce! Reservations advised, I used open table to find a slot. Tables are very close together, so if privacy is important, this is not the place. On the other hand, visitors to the city may get a chance... More

I have wanted to visit Lilette for years and finally made it for lunch. Upon arriving, our welcome was less than average. We were extremely disappointed in the limited menu. I had two appetizers and left hungry despite the cost. My guest had the kale salad that was so crispy and falling apart, he could not get it to stay... More

As we are able to the owner/chef, we could not have been happier about the experience we had here. The room is lovely, our server was knowledgeable and helpful, and the food was outstanding. One of our party thought the duck confit tortellini was one of the best dishes he has had anywhere. Just perfect.

We came for lunch and we all had the drum in a citrus beure blanc sauce: wow! So delicious, perfect combination of flavors and texture. I also shared the crispy kale salad with my husband. The kale was roasted til dry and other veggies were roasted until tender. For dessert we shared a chocolate mousse with passion fruit sorbet.

Lilette was first rate from the greeting at the door through paying the bill. It was a true bistro environment. We showed up early and were the first customers - no problem, no arguments, just a choice of tables and good service. The menu was broad enough for anyone and small enough that the chef could do it all well.... More

Think of a small Paris bistro off the beaten path. Small but good bar. Trust me, you are in that small out of the way locals only bistro in Paris. Best Hanger steak in New Orleans. Great place to take a date or have business supper. Can get noisy, but that just ads to ambiance. If you want to get... More

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
