I so looked forward to my first visit to this iconic restaurant in NOLA. I have been going to New Orleans since the late 1980’s but have not been here before. I love New Orleans style BBQ shrimp for which Manales is famous for making....More

I had NO idea that this place existed until a Vietnam veteran mate of mine took me there some years ago. The place from the outside looked like it was about to collapse thats where it all stopped. The Oyster bar manager was great and...More

On May 4, one dinner "special" was 2 "crab" cakes over fettuccine alfredo. I believe it was the: LET'S SCREW JAZZ FEST OUT-OF-TOWNERS by putting NO CRAB in the crab cakes! 99% filler. We all 4 mushed up our crab "filler cakes" looking for a...More

Our reunion group ate here one evening, reserving space well ahead of time. Many of us were left to wait in the bar for no apparent reason after others were at the reserved table. One in our group requires a power chair and was forced...More

We had the raw oysters as appetizer and they honestly could have been the dinner. I could have easily ordered two dozen more. We also had the bbq shrimp and the combination pot roast. Everything was delicious. Service was great (thanks, Wendy).

Jeanette guided me through the extraordinarily treacherous waters of dining in NOLA with major dietary restrictions. I had the raw oysters in half shell followed by a delicious salad with shrimp. Delicious! This late lunch kicked off a wonderful French Quarter Fest weekend!
