You wouldn't think New Orleans had any chance of authentic Italian unless you lived their and realized that their is a huge catholic Italian presence which has populated the place with some very fine authentic Italian cuisine. This restaurant has been their awhile and knows how to serve it! Try the veal parmagiana or the meatballs!
Went here on an invitation to a birthday dinner. I have been here before and it hasn't changed. The walls are decorated with pictures of celebrities who have been there. This place has been around for ever and has a good culinary reputation. They are known for their BBQ shrimp which I think they originated. Their rendition of this dish... More
In town visiting friends who recommended we have dinner at Pascal's. From the beginning it was a no win situation. When we parked our vehicle we were escorted from the parking lot to the front door by a armed security guard and also when we left. Once inside and seated couldn't hear the waiter or our other 4 friends, noise... More
My wife, daughter and myself recently dined at Pasquals Manale in New Orleans. We chose this restaurant based on good reviews. We were their first guests of the evening and others arriving later were served first. We had to ask for bread and our waiter just disappeared. The food was good but not great and had the service been better,... More
We were referred to this restaurant by a local for the bread pudding which I love. It an easy walk from the trolley line. We arrive mid afternoon for a late lunch. I ordered the BBQ shrimp which this restaurant was known for and my husband got fried shrimp plate. Both were wonderful,we got warm bread that we used to... More
Waiter very helpful and NOLA shrimp lived up to the billing. The atmosphere is a little formal but the food and service made everyone comfortable and we really enjoyed our dining experience from start to finish.
Atmosphere is kind of formal. Waiter not helpful at all. My wife has to be gluten free and I when asked if they had gluten free, he just answered "no". I don't think he was educated with the needs of his customers.
While in New Oerleans for business, we were taken here by a local. What a treat, and so worth getting out of the French Quarter and downtown for. Everything we ordered was amazing, from the Oysters Bienville to the BBQ Shrimp to the homemade bread pudding for dessert. Service was impeccable. GO!
We have been traveling to NOLA for 30 years, basically to eat and listen to jazz. We are big fans of eating where folks who live in a city eat, so on our first visit back in 1995, we asked a local on our airplane where he would recommend we had dinner. He said go to Pascals Manale and have... More
