I went there for lunch after visiting City Park. The parking lot is tough to navigate, but a back-up camera would have made it much easier. The ambiance is similar to any low-priced restaurant but the menu doesn't reflect the surroundings. Service was good. We split a 10" catfish po-boy that cost $15, I believe.

Drinks were very good, beer is ice frosted mugs. Food was excellent. Burgers perfectly cooked and appitizers were right on. Fried artichoke was a hit. Decent prices, friendly atmosphere. Could not ask for more.

We have been may times and tried many different dishes. The only consistently good food is the seafood and salads. Anything else is a toss-up. Service is decent and the place is always crowded.

We had what would have been a nice casual meal there today, but the music was so loud that we couldn't even hear each other across the table. We asked them if they could turn it down. The answer was a definite no. It was a mix of rap, country, and whatever else was playing on the jukebox. They have... More

If you are real hungry, order the seafood plater or mushrooms or salad from here. Good food and we had good service today. I saw reviews of bad service but our waiter, who maybe wanted to be born a waitress did a good job.

We were victims of discrimination on our wonderful weekend get away to New Orleans, LA. Lakeview Harbor was suggested as a great burger and potato spot. Well guess what......It was not so great. It took an hour to get our food while other patrons who came in after us were served quickly. Our pregnant waitress was very rude and inconsiderate.... More

The sevice is horrible, the staff talk more among themseves than the serving the customers. The food is not worth half the price I paid. I left most of my food on the plate and had to go an get my server who was busy fliting with the other staff.

I kept trying to give this restaurant a chance. After 3 attempts I have decided never again. The wait staff are rude, uniformed about the food, and inattentive. The food is ridiculously overpriced for what you get and everything is nickel and dimed for any extras or toppings. We love eating out and we go to several restaurants in New... More

Staying in Lakeview

Neighbourhood Profile
Lakeview extends inland from the shores of Lake Pontchartrain with much of the area reserved for family-friendly City Park. Home to the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Besthoff Sculpture Garden, Carousel Gardens Amusement Park, and the city’s own lush Botanical Gardens, City Park is a New Orleans gem and the perfect spot for outdoor fun with as much of a mix of culture and/or amusement as you would like. Beyond City Park more great excuses to stay outside beckon, whether on land or by boat. Developed a good deal later than most other New Orleans neighborhoods, Lakeview has a distinctively different look and feel compared to other parts of the city. Fans of mid century modern design and contemporary architecture particularly enjoy leisurely drives around the residential streets of Lake Vista, Park Island and along Lakeshore Drive.
