My wife and I went to the French District of New Orleans to try the Beignets at this renowned cafe. It was definitely no disappointment. It is a unique experience with the added treat of the Beignets. No trip to New Orleans is complete without a bite or two or MORE! Treat yourself on your next trip.

This was by far our favorite place to eat. We went each morning and were never disappointed. Friendly staff and the tastiest eggs florentine ever.

even if the hickory coffee is undrinkable, the sugar the best part of the begneie and the bill astronomical for what you get. it is quaint to sit in the outside area and was the city awaken. its also tradition to buy a box of the doughnut mix, take it home, stuff it in a cabinet and throw it away... Small cafe with musical adornment, the food is stellar. Their several styles of Eggs Benedict are definitely a safe bet, and you can't go wrong with their sweet buttercream pancakes.

Cafe au lait is a great place to have beignets and coffee, among other things. The location is convenient with both inside and outside dining. Although it is not the most famous cafe with beignets, there is a short line and it is just as good. If you have a toast for beignets, give it a try.

By far this is the best restaurant in New Orleans. Ate here with two business associates and we are excited as each course is brought to the table. clark is our waiter and his knowledge is second to no one. The River Gumbo and oysters were something you would write home to momma about - A++. We are absolutely In... More

Ok - so it's a tourist trap. Ok - so the lines are long and the tables are hard to keep spotless on a weekend. All that aside, it's still "the" place for Beignets and Cafe au Lait in New Orleans. Inexpensive and unpretentious, there's a reason it's been there since 1862. drink the water, the beignets are loaded with... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
