There's so much charm to appreciate in the venue but the food is only average. The service was great - very old world formal- and the space is lovely-feels very local. The shrimp and okra gumbo was tasty but the seafood wasn't outstanding and I...More

Try everything on the menu, - it's all phenomenal! Drink their signature drink and try everything on the menu again. You'll not be disappointed! I will definitely put this on my must visit again list. One of the best meals ever!

This was a stumble upon, pleasant surprise. Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. A family serving the best New Orleans food since the early 1900's. Our waiter Matt grew up going to work there with his mother before returning 3 years ago to New Orleans. My...More

Tried Bon Ton on the recommendation of a coworker. We got there late but were welcomed in by the staff. We were promptly seated and our waitress offered drinks and apps. Warm bread arrived shortly after our drinks. Our waitress recommended some speciality dishes, which...More

The food here was excellent and the service was second to none. We went on a very rainy night and despite being soaked to the bone, this was one of the better nights in NOLA.

Without being dramatic, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with any human sensitivity. I am to this day almost in tears about how my family and I were treated at this restaurant. My wonderful father (I'm biased there) was a regular at this...More

Our service was great - waiter and other staff very friendly and attentive to needs like drink refills. We split a small Debbie's salad - very tasty, and yet at $17, also pretty small. Food was as ordered. Hubby had the Crawfish Etouffee and I...More

It had been years, since either my wife, or I had dine at Bon Ton Café, but on our June trip, we changed that, and had an enjoyable meal, with family. I am not sure if the Bon Ton Café has been remodeled since we...More

With a party of four, we were able to order a variety of small plates plus fabulous entrees. I had the Crab Imperial which was delicious and beautiful to behold. The fried oysters were a first for me. I've only had them raw before but...More

Stopped in for the famous bread pudding and wasn't disappointed! The staff was so welcoming and seated us by a window to wait for our dessert. Hubby and I had a delicious Sazerac and beer. Bread pudding a la mode was presented promptly and wow...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts

It was very close to our hotel, so we walked. There is some street parking, public parking lots. and in a pinch you could park in one of the nearby hotel lots/garages. No matter where you park, you will have a terrific meal.

The Bon Ton is open 5 - 9 PM, Monday through Friday. They won't let me put the URL here, but you can find the Web site; it's just bontoncafe.
