Great choices for seafood dinners. I had not had crawfish etoufee and they let me try a small sample. Was a great choice. The waiter had a great knowledge of the menu and their preparations.

The restaurant did not have its signature red fish on my most recent visit. The substitute was black drum and it was wonderful. Perfectly cooked. Fresh. No fishy taste or smell. The Bon Ton crabmeat on top was wonderful. Nice lumps. No odor. No shell....More

Came here with friends who were long time "residents", and loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere. It's nice to know that some things never change and I surmise that Bon Ton Cafe is one of those. Service was friendly and prompt, but not pushy. Food...More

This is old school dining. A menu that doesn't change every day, excellent service, large servings. If you want a great Cajun meal that doesn't try to overwhelm the food with sauces, presentation or other tricks, this is a great place. I started with shrimp...More

The crawfish dinner puts 4 great dishes on one plate without excessive portion sizes. Exceptional quality, and service was good for our group of 40 (pre-arranged).

I was here with a large group of people from a conference, and the restaurant was extremely accommodating, turning over half the restaurant to us, allowing us to pay using separate checks, and providing amazingly fast and attentive service in an attractive room. The food,...More

Although it was a Friday afternoon, we were seated immediately. Service was impeccable, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. The crawfish bisque and shrimp and crab okra gumbo were delicious, but the catfish was the highlight of the meal - absolutely the best we've ever...More

This was a great meal. We went with a family group of five, I suggest reservations. Service was great. I had a combo of Crab Imperial and Crab Au Gratin and it did not disappoint. The crab au gratin would have been too rich as...More

We were referred here by a work colleague. Initially, we had trouble getting service and waited some time before being noticed. We received a free appetizer of catfish and crawfish to make up for it. I had filet and potatoes and bread pudding for dessert....More

Someone in our hotel recommended Bon Ton Cafe as a great old school New Orleans restaurant to visit on our first night. We decided to give it a go but hadn't booked a table as we got there reasonably early. When we arrived the owner...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts

I doubt it - based on our experience they would think they were too good for such a thing.
