Our service was great - waiter and other staff very friendly and attentive to needs like drink refills. We split a small Debbie's salad - very tasty, and yet at $17, also pretty small. Food was as ordered. Hubby had the Crawfish Etouffee and I...More

It had been years, since either my wife, or I had dine at Bon Ton Café, but on our June trip, we changed that, and had an enjoyable meal, with family. I am not sure if the Bon Ton Café has been remodeled since we...More

With a party of four, we were able to order a variety of small plates plus fabulous entrees. I had the Crab Imperial which was delicious and beautiful to behold. The fried oysters were a first for me. I've only had them raw before but...More

Stopped in for the famous bread pudding and wasn't disappointed! The staff was so welcoming and seated us by a window to wait for our dessert. Hubby and I had a delicious Sazerac and beer. Bread pudding a la mode was presented promptly and wow...More

This small restaurant, located near Poydras Street is a favorite. It's a family owned and run restaurant and the service is excellent, as are the mixed drinks. The food is always delicious and always too much to eat. Not open on weekends but worth a...More

If you want to know what we ate in New Orleans first culinary heyday, this is a great spot. I can't tell the difference between there crawfish bisque and my mom's!

This cafe came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint. The food was wonderful! The prices were a bit steep for lunch, but reasonable for dinner. (Same menu) the fried crawfish tails were great!

A couple blocks out of the French Quarter, and worth the extra walk. The Bon Ton is not opened on weekends which will give you an idea of how good it is.....they don't need the extra traffic. If I lived in New Orleans, I would...More

This is a slightly hidden gem several blocks from the French Quarter near the river. Fairly small, been in business for decades, recommend reservations. The menu is pure traditional New Orleans. Lots of seafood. Recommend the Redfish, turtle soup, and really everything else. Very relaxing...More

parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts

It was very close to our hotel, so we walked. There is some street parking, public parking lots. and in a pinch you could park in one of the nearby hotel lots/garages. No matter where you park, you will have a terrific meal.

The Bon Ton is open 5 - 9 PM, Monday through Friday. They won't let me put the URL here, but you can find the Web site; it's just bontoncafe.
