Well known restaurant, but dine somewhere else, unless you want oysters. Most of the food we had was frozen. Won't go back.

We timed our visit just right and managed to beat the line, yay us! There's pretty much always a line. Friendly, attentive staff, food came fast and fresh. We had appetizers and poboys, a shrimp, a chicken and a softshell crab. Watching the oyster shuckers is interesting. I can't personally comment on the raw oysters but I have had their... More

You should always order the raw oysters. They are so good. I also had the shrimp po-boy and was happy and the dirty fries (roast beef bits). I have had smoked oysters and they are good. I have never gone away unhappy (OK the first week they opened after Katrina had some ugly oysters). Try oyster shooters.

Affordable comfort food with great bar and service. Oysters fresh as huge and right from the area. Tv screens for basketball and football. All good 😊

We arrived at 5:30 pm on a Monday night and seated pretty quickly. When we left an hour later the line was long. Food was delicious, server was friendly, food delivered quickly, reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again!

Always a line!! So be prepared! However it's a fun LITTLE place with fresh, enormous oysters, delicious jambalaya and YUMMY crawfish!! (among a lot of other things!) Grab a local brew (Abita) and order two dozen to start! I always make it a point to stop at Acme when I'm in NOLA!!!

I have been coming here for years and no trip is complete without a visit here. Just great food. Generous portions and great service. But look out... the char grilled oysters will knock your socks off! Make sure you dunk the French bread! Omg! Oyster heaven The absolute best

We waited over an hour and a half for a table. Meal was ok. Not an hour and a half wait good. A couple at a table next to us must have found something that did not belong on their oyster plate because the waiter politely took it back and apologized. There are many more eateries that are better and... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
