Very nice atmosphere, great serve, good food but no worth the high priced dishes. You can find the same food at other restaurants cheaper.

Visited with another couple, meal was ok. Ordered (the group) crab-stuffed fish, catfish, chicken - not bad, portions not as large as had hoped, but fine. Desserts decadent and delicious. Friendly, helpful service.

We decided to eat at the Bourbon House because of an article in the Los Angeles Times written by food critic Jonathon Gold. He recommended the BBQ shrimp. So I ordered the shrimp. You had to peel the shrimp first before eating but it was smothered in a wonderful sauce that was finger-licking good. However, our male waiter was just... More

The best broiled oysters as well as oysters on the half shell. Wedge salad had excellent blue cheese dressing. Lovely interior and nice atmosphere. Excellent service. New for me but will return.

If you're looking for a white tablecloth restaurant with a Bourbon Street view, this is your place. Oysters are fantastic. Bourbon flights are amazing. My wife and I tried it out before theater at the saenger and were well pleased. Food is great. Service is fantastic. This is one of the Brennan family's places and they do it right. Must... More

What a nice place. Truly upscale establishment in the heart of Bourbon Street. While this area of the city can be a little hard to take, it's worth your while to visit Bourbon House. The fish was great and the present stall were perfect. One of the best Mojitos I've ever had if you like a libation before dinner. Next... More

The restaurant is very nice and the service is business like. Regarding the food, we ordered the seafood tower and it was not at par with the restaurant, besides been overpriced. This is really a tourist restaurant with long waiting time even with a reservation made weeks in advance.

We stopped her for dinner the night before Mother"s Day and had a wonderful dinner. Service was great, had our drinks on demand and dinner as well. I had the red fish dish and while it was slightly overcooked, it had great flavor. We had to wait a bit to be seated for dinner, not a surprise since it was... More

Guys, AMAZING charbroiled Oysters on Bourbon street. No long lines on the sidewalk like their ACME neighbor. Obviously incredible Bourbon list, it's New Orleans anyway.....DRINK UP.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
