I had a roast beef po boy w gravy dressed. It was really good, if a teeny bit chewy. The bread was delish and Zapp’s voodoo chips were the perfect pairing. A New Orleans tradition! Friendly service.

Our Uber driver "Miss G" directed us to the best po'boy in Mid-City, opened by a German baker in 1911. Hurricane Katrina filled the restaurant with six feet of water, and miraculously, they reopened four months later. Best roast beef and shrimp po'boy I've ever...More

As described by others, the food is excellent and the portion size will handle any appetite. Seating in the bar area is limited, but includes wait service. The rear area is more self service and open seating. The rear area could use some sprucing up...More

Best roast beef, on po' boy, on fries, whatever! A New Orleans classic. Must try. Presidents have eaten here since 1911 and they have the pics to prove it. Can be reached from Canal streetcar, then a couple blocks walk on Jeff Davis Parkway.

Best Poor Boys in town? Sounds like a big claim and I'm not in a position to judge, plenty of New Orleans folk say so though. This is a very casual place with a busy and interesting bar. Come hungry and bring a friend, these...More

Really good Po boys. I had the catfish which was hot and fresh. My daughter had the alligator. I was surprised, it was excellent.

They have cole slaw which was delicious but definitely has mayo in it! I can’t imagine you wouldn’t be able to get mustard and definitely hot sauce! The catfish was my favorite it’s fresh and cooked perfectly! Good luck

Kids are fine. Just like at Applebee's or Olive Garden. The bar area might not be a good fit for kids, but you can take drinks anywhere in the building.
