Went with a group of people from work and had a great time. Very good cocktails - try the city park lemonade. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgable, she gave us great recommendations. The smoked fried oysters and braised goat appetizers are incredible. But what really impressed me was that they took back a bottle of wine we were... More

I really wanted to like Ralph's and it was certainly adequate but it was not the dining experience that I was expecting. We were there for a wedding in a few days and had the bride and groom with us. I thought the menu was extremely limited. Of the few dishes listed, they were out of red fish. I ordered... More

We had a group of 8 and they went out of their way to accommodate. The food was classically prepared with the chefs own signature. It was a Wednesday night and I was surprised it was not full. The truffle fries and scallop appetizer were a great start.

This was our first visit to Ralph's on the Park. It was for Easter brunch which was a special menu. To begin with, our server Roland, was very attentive and friendly. He did not miss a step. Drinks were always full; bread was always hot; did not make us feel rushed. The meal itself was impeccable. My husband had the... More

I really want to leave two reviews, one for the service and ambience and one for the food. The service was fantastic. We were having a very small wedding shower at the restaurant and the server and manager couldn't have been nicer. They accommodated my request for dessert and were very attentive to our needs the who,e time we were... More

The brunch on Sundays was fantastic! The restaurant is very clean and in a nice area, the food was absolutely great and so were the endless mimosas! After finishing the meal, the waitress was very generous in allowing us to sit and drink until we were finished! The steak and eggs were perfect - the burger was a bit dry.... More

Nice, cozy atmosphere with delicious food and great service. I really enjoyed the spicy Bloody Mary with the hot biscuits. Three of us were in the city to celebrate a birthday. The menu offered a variety of choices including appetizers and small plates and full plates. We all enjoyed our entrees. The turtle soup was wonderful! I had the small... More

We only get to Ralph's a couple times a year. It's a 1.5 hour drive, but always a pleasurable experience. We had a Friday lunch this time with good friends also from out of town. The menu was offered exceptional choices. The service was impeccable and the quality of every did really nice. Love the atmosphere and décor too.

Neighborhood location and a very nice ambience. However that's where the positives end. This was our first time here and it was less than we expected. I tried the special Irish menu offered for the month. I am a big fan of double cut pork chops but this was on the dry side. My wife had the redfish and it... More

I am not from New Orleans so when I go I'm typically downtown. I am so glad I ventured out to this part of town this trip. The restaurant is prominently situated in on corner overlooking the park. Like much of New Orleans, it is quite picturesque. I attended a private event upstairs, so I didn't only got to see... More

Staying in Lakeview

Neighbourhood Profile
Lakeview
Lakeview extends inland from the shores of Lake Pontchartrain with much of the area reserved for family-friendly City Park. Home to the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Besthoff Sculpture Garden, Carousel Gardens Amusement Park, and the city’s own lush Botanical Gardens, City Park is a New Orleans gem and the perfect spot for outdoor fun with as much of a mix of culture and/or amusement as you would like. Beyond City Park more great excuses to stay outside beckon, whether on land or by boat. Developed a good deal later than most other New Orleans neighborhoods, Lakeview has a distinctively different look and feel compared to other parts of the city. Fans of mid century modern design and contemporary architecture particularly enjoy leisurely drives around the residential streets of Lake Vista, Park Island and along Lakeshore Drive.
