We stopped at the open air cafe after riding on the paddle wheeler. Or server was pleasant and efficient, bringing food hot and extra napkins etc. There was a jazz group playing and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Our popcorn shrimp were delicious.

Don't waste your time here. Not worth the price. Food was just ok, the chips that came with my sandwich were cold and had prawns in them which I didn't order. I'm sure there are much nicer places to spend your money in.

Great place for a buffet breakfast for $10.95. They have a live band playing while you enjoy, pancakes, biscuit/gravy, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and fruit.

I'll admit that the only reason we ended up here was because El Gato Negro was closed for Easter (We love their tacos and margaritas). We looked at the menu here and thought we would give it a try. We were not at all disappointed. My wife had the grilled redfish with jambalaya and I had the gumbo. Both were... More

We had been there on a busy friday afternoon. Luckily we got an table, but it was dirty and I couldn't sit on the chair, because drinks were spilled on it. When I asked for another chair the waiter told me to sit. Another guest helped me out then. I ordered the Gumbo which was spilled over the bowl when... More

A good French Quarter café. a nice locals kind of menu, with decent service and the place was decently clean for an outdoor type café. They had nice live music today and it was nice. Priced for the tourist area.

We stopped here for lunch one day as we were walking around the French quarter. Great location and people watching, but ridiculously high for size/quality of food. We ordered a salad with grilled chicken (running about $15) and were brought a small plate of salad with about 5 strips of chicken. My husband and I planned to split the salad... More

My coworker decided to take me here to grab some lunch before I headed home. We grabbed a muffuletta to split, listened to the band and had a nice conversation. A great way to end a trip. Gonna miss it but will be back.

Thank Marty T

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
