While in NOLA, my Wife wanted an authentic creole-style dinner and Cafe Maspero did not disappoint! I started with red beans and rice as an appetizer and then had jambalaya which were both very good. My Wife started with a cup of french onion soup...More

Great regular local cuisine. Not fancy. Just really good food and selection. Seafood Platter is 20$. Very very good. French Onion soup is house special. Good for people watching. Roast Beef is super good.

I’ve been here several times and I’m never disappointed. I like the jambalaya, gumbo, red beans and rice. I’ve had the muffuletta on previous visits. It’s in the heart of everything but they haven’t forgot who they are. Service is great. Cool atmosphere. Great food....More

Stopped in while waiting for shuttle, drank a couple of cocktails and got sandwiches to go for later. Drinks were great, food was just average, sandwich was not on bread ordered. I would probably give them a second try.

This became our "go to" place when visiting. The location is conveniently near everything, but still quiet. The staff is exemplary and the menu varied enough to satisfy a group of picky eaters with various dietary needs. The decor is charming and adds a bit...More

The restaurant does not take reservations. I do not remember if it is open. Probably not. But many other restaurants are open. Try Palace Cafe.
