This is a very popular New Orleans stop so we felt we had to go while there. The food is decent and the portions are large, but the prices seem steep for what it is. The people are friendly despite usually being very busy, which counts for something. I don't know that this restaurant lives up to its hype, but... More

I've had several sandwiches here and have never been disappointed. Great for a fill-up lunch before hitting the FQ for under $12. Try the French bread French toast in the AM!

The po boys here are good. They have lots of options. The restaurant is very basic, atmosphere-wise. They get very busy and do not take reservations. Be sure to come a few minutes early to make sure you can find a table. The po boys are very large. I could only eat half of mine. They only accept cash. They... More

We shared the oyster po boy, they aren't small and glad we did. There is a line for a reason. Worth the stop.

I love Po Boys and so while I was in town, I decided to give Johnny's a try and it was really good. Their bread is a little tougher than I prefer, but their fried shrimp is absolutely excellent and they have an incredible menu with something for everyone.

Had a great lunch here, accompanied by good Bloody Marys. We had Muffaletta and corn & crab soup. Both were delicious. The service was also good. Would recommend to anyone for lunch

Best po-boys ever, just beware they are huge, po-hulk more than po-boy. Soft shell crab and the shrimp are both delicious

My dad and I had breakfast there. It was right around the corner from the hotel. No wait time. Service was fast and friendly. Food was pretty good. Dining area was a little small, but the restaurant itself is small.

Great variety of Po Boys on the menu. Very cramped space. Ordered and went yo a small back room to eat. Certainly no frill, but it felt kind of dirty throughout the restaurant. Bathroom was really bad. Got order wrong. Order taker was curt and impatient.

Thank Debeatle

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
