I ordered the blood orange margarita which was fabulous. My husband ordered the three soup trio which was pleasantly good. It came in three cups that looked tiny but held more than they appeared. He was disappointed that they could not make him sweet tea. It is usually very crowded but the night we went was not busy at all.... More

Not my first team eating here, but I LOVE all the Brennan restaurant. Had been craving barbecue shrimp and this was fantastic version of it. This place is awesome!

What a lovely place for dinner!! Had the bacon wrapped shrimp and grits with red-eye gravy. Never had anything like that before. Wow!! So good! Also the garlic roasted chicken, best meal we had in NOLA. Service by Greg was exceptional. I even bought the cook book!

Great atmosphere and energy. Felt like "the place to be". Food was fantastic. Best shrimp and grits (shrimp wrapped in bacon) I have ever had. Attire ranged from dressy to casual (we were in shorts). Only disappointment was staff did not give off that "southern hospitality" I have come to enjoy in the south. By far, the best meal we... More

We Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere within this restaurant. Everything was cooked to perfection . Well it is a venue fit for a president! - Ronald Regan dined here some time back while visiting New Orleans. His thank you letter hangs on the wall as a fitting reminder. Would highly recommend a visit.

We picked this restaurant because it was closer to the French Quarter on a rainy night and had sit down service. We were sat right next to the bar, but to the side next to a stack of chairs. After 15 minutes were given menus. Then after another 10 minutes our server Cristina(sp?) came over and started taking our food... More

I say dining experience because unlike many restaurants that are trying to turn tables, this place is delivering an evening not a just a meal. Our party of six started with around of drinks. My lady found hers to be a bit weak on liquor. When mentioned, our server quickly had it stiffened up. For starters, I had the Gumbo... More

It was a very busy Sunday evening. We have been numerous times to Mr B's and enjoyed the food and atmosphere, but this time was very bad. The starters were not that impressive (oysters) as they were only just hot enough and not fresh char grilled. The main course was the worst. 3 of us had steaks and after a... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
