Large and bright restaurant. We were hoping for a very good meal. The signature redfish entree was excellent. Understated but delicious sauce with vegetables. The double chocolate bread pudding was delicious.

The food here is incredible! I had the jambalaya risotto and my friends the red fish and it was superb. The cajun spices are an explosion of flavor. We had 2 members of management come ask us how everything was and I always think that is a positive thing to identify areas of improvement. Katie our server was nice and... More

Red Fish is overrated. Is it supposed to be outstanding just because it is of the Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group? From the snarky waiter to overpriced food and drinks (even for French Quarter), we will not return. My fish entrée at nearly $30 was accompanied by diced potatoes and green peas, ordinarily prepared with no flair which could just as... More

Sure all the fish that they sell are great, but I settled on the Redfish and I was amazed at how good this fish was. Our server was really good too, was so eager to give us what we wanted . He succeeded!

We enjoyed 4 dishes together and everything was exceptional including the service. I didn't want to even bother going to other restaurants but that would be ridiculous. I almost wish I could complain about something because now everywhere else will be compared to here

We had a party of 12 for dinner. Reservations are helpful. If you want the chocolate bread pudding for dessert, you are asked to order it with your meal. We did that, and still waited a very long time for it. But it was delish!! I had the bbq chicken with brussel sprouts. While it tasted great, it was slightly... More

Stopped in after a tour and waited a long time. Finally got into the bar. Food was good, crab claws, crawfish, salads.

While having heard (mostly) good reviews, I decided to make a reservation and bring my group of liquor reps from all over the country to Red Fish Grill. At first we felt a little uneasy about being placed in a room all the way in back with a table with one other couple. But as soon as Jay came up... More

Had dinner with a party of 8. Meal was very good. We chose BBQ oysters, crab claws and the smoky redfish dip for appetizers. All were good. However, the BBQ oysters were great. The jambalaya was good. It had good flavor and a good sized portion. It tasted even better the next day. The redfish with crab was hearty. For... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
