Roast Beef was very good. Got it to go but the wait was a little longer than expected. They don't answer their phone so you have to order at the counter. Overall I would get another, but service is lacking and they don't answer the...More

Do not be fooled by the outside appearance of the restaurant. After taking a Garden District walking tour, we wanted a light lunch. The staff were very friendly. We split a shrimp po-boy and fries. It was delicious and a lot of food. The fries...More

Yes, it is a dive and it looks awful from the outside, but do not be deceived. The catfish po boys were terrific. The fried fillets were sliced thin and fried to perfection. The bread was phenomenal--not the thick French bread we are used to...More

A bit of a wait but the firecracker shrimp po'boy was great! Chicken tenders also yummy. Fries weren't that special, but onion rings had a lot of flavor. Grilled cheese was nothing special either. Had our 1st roast beef po'boy as well. It was decent, we...More

This place is just a few blocks from the Garden District and I believe it makes a great lunch stop. It has a bar on one side and a restaurant on the other. This is a locals type, no frills establishment that makes some great...More

Saw this on Diners, Drive Inns , Dives. The food was great . More than possible to eat. The firecracker shrimp has a mild hot taste and is awesome. Great service! When you walk in there is a bar area and at the end is...More

It's a little on the grungy side, but the food is great. They had the largest po-boys I saw or had while in New Orleans. Good craft beer selection in cans, no draft beer.I had half oyster, half catfish po-boy, and onion rings. I could...More

Sorry, I can't answer this question, but they may. Whatever they use was very light. Like Patricia suggested, you should call them.

Description
Born in 1952, in the Irish Channel neighborhood, Parasol's is a New Orleans tradition that is known as THE place to go for roast beef po boys, and a huge St. Patricks Day block party. We are a neighborhood bar to the world, where everyone is welcome and treated like an old friend. Our kitchen is dedicated to taking old school New Orleans food to a new level of flavor and quality. Belly up to the old Irish bar and enjoy a pint of Guiness or wander upstairs to our smoke free dining room. You can indulge in our delicious food either way. Parasol's is a throw back to a simpler time when the social life of the neighborhood centered around the corner bar. A place where the stuff of life is discussed, celebrated and even mourned. At Parasol's it's all about you !
