everything made to order, but what a shame, the food looked good, but it was only warm when it was served. The coffee, both the cafe au lait and the cappucino could have been stronger. Maybe we are too picky going by the amount of customers the had.

Stayed at the hotel across the street and stopped in for breakfast before we checked out. The spinach quiche was good. The apple croissant was delicious so was the carrot muffin. They had lots of other fine looking desserts. Had a cappuccino and it was wonderful. Great place if you are in the area.

Great food. We had quiche and a sandwich with a salad. The kids had some kind of mouse made out of cookies or donut fixins. They were sure quiet and good while they ate their mice so a good review from them. You can eat inside the small cafe or out on an indoorish patio

This shop offers a large variety of pastries and quiches. Yummy! The old architecture has separate women's and men's entrances and a courtyard with a nude sculpture fountain. Very interesting and quirky place.

Tried Croissant d'or for lunch based on the recommendation of a local. Turned out to be an totally great spot. We had excellent sandwiches and great service. Food came out quickly which was great since we were in a hurry. Highly recommend this restaurant for an excellent lunch.

Lunch on Sunday afternoon. Tried the ham & leek quiche which was sitting on the counter, uncovered (heated twice in the microwave, but was still cold in spots) with a salad which was a dessert plate with a little bit of mixed greens on it. We had a hard time finding the ham in the leek laden quiche. The dressing... More

Nice and clean breakfast and light lunch place, with an European touch. Middle price, we had a good cappucinos and two good croissants. The atmosphere was relaxed and I do recommend it if you are traveling do NOLA

We found this one afternoon just before they were closing and had a quick pastry. Excellent. They make everything on site every day. They have homemade marshmallows! We came back the next morning for breakfast and it was wonderful as well. They close at 3 and are closed Tuesday. Nice sandwiches for lunch as well.

We enjoyed eating breakfast here where the choice of pastries is broad, the room is brightly lit with wide windows facing the street, and the staff cheery. Great place to start the day or for lunch too. There is some outdoor seating in what looks like a small courtyard at the rear. They offer soups and many types of sandwiches... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
