We finally saw the lines for Felix's as long as the ones across the street at Acme. People are discovering that a simple, clean ambience can produce high quality food at a reasonable price. The grilled oysters are to die for! The service was quick, too. We always make it a point to eat at least once meal here every... More

Of course all restaurants in NOLA serves fresh seafood but sometimes the size varies or the quality. Felix has one of the best fresh half shell oysters that I have tried in NOLA. It is fresh, sweet and quite a good size! The price is reasonable too! This is definitely a to go restaurant and a must try! I will... More

The bayou sampler was ok, nothing special. My wife got the oysters and they were very large and delicious. If you like oysters, this is the place to go, I was going to try one.. but it's an acquired taste I guess.

Following a recommendation , we went here the first night in NOLA. A brief wait was in order as the diner was full of people. We could see why. The food was fabulous. The atmosphere awesome. So great in fact, we had to back the second night , after enjoying a crawfish boil elsewhere, saving our appetite to once again... More

My NOLA native pal brought me here on my first trip to the city and I am so glad she did. We were also fortunate to be entertained by a second line performing while we waited in line (not too long). Of course, the grilled oysters are divine and really are a must in NOLA. My friend got the most... More

Fresh oysters opened right in front of you. Their grilled oysters were good too. Recommend to try this place as the other places seems overated. Great atmosphere and priced reasonably.

This was my first stop in New Orleans after checking into the hotel. My friend and I split an order of charred oysters. Holy crap! They were SO good!! That and they had really friendly service. They were in the middle of a shift change and they pulled that off with ease!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
