Execution is flawless and value is solid. Lambchops, charred romaine lettuce, figs with blue cheese were all downed happily with a fine beer and wine by the glass selection. At 10 PM, to get food this proficient without thronging crowds on a saturday night was a godsend. Friendly service, you will feel like a local.

One day the waitress was a sweetheart, the next day the bartender was trylly unhappy to be working that day and the first thing she would do to anyone who approached the bar was to show a big pink sigh {CASH ONLY} and then started telling the new arrivals how others did not see the sigh....i ordered my food to... Maybe I've been there on the wrong nights, or otherwise just missed. It's a good place but the food and service are somewhat average. A lot of people swear by Mimi's, perhaps because it was here when there wasn't much here. Anyway it's perfectly serviceable bar with an eatery upstairs, and music on certain nights. Pool tables, etc.

This is a frequent stop for my husband and I. The atmosphere is laid back - upstairs is a slightly more intimate feel. The tapas are amazing - I've never ordered anything I didn't love. We started ordering the Trust Me every time as I'm pretty sure the chef here should be working in a Michelin star restaurant. We always... More

It was rather quiet when I was there so it made more sense to sit at the bar downstairs. Unassuming but pleasant bar food and a decent selection of beers; the Abita Purple Haze isn't brilliant but the En Vie Pale Ale is much better.

We are spoiled to have this gem in our back yard. If you are looking for a great place to hang out with exceptional small plates, great drinks and a beautiful view of the Marigny and the city, this might just be the place for you. (There is also a lot going on downstairs too) A popular hang out, get... More

Mimi's offers a wide variety of tasty, filling tapas, ranging from marinated pork tenderloin, honey glazed salmon, goat cheese, and roasted brussel sprouts. The upstairs is much more cozy than downstairs with couches and a nice wrap-around outside balcony. It's typical of a tapas joint; order at the bar, even if you're seated elsewhere. And it's in walking distance to... More

Worth a trip over here as a quieter spot tucked away in the Bywater. Away from the bustle of Frenchmen St. The young NOLA-hipster crew drinks wine from plastic cups when they're busy. The food was excellent. We sampled the steak, lamb chops, goat cheese croquets, brussel sprouts, and shrimp tapas. None, not even the brussel sprouts, disappointed. We grabbed... More

Mimi's main floor is very smokey, but I suppose that is soon to change. But the real treat of Mimi's is their upstairs. It is like a 'basement' and just awesome. The drinks are very generous, the music is always authentic as is the bartenders. It is New Orleans, it is real and it is fun! never eaten there but... More
