Went there with our large dog to get a quick bite to eat for dinner the Cafe Beignet on Bourbon street was really busy whereas there was only another couple at this location, so that was nice. I didn't know that there were different locations of Cafe Beignet until we had walked through Bourbon street and Royal street several times.... More

The wife and I needed a snack so we decided we would hit up our first NOLA beignet at Cafe Beignet. It was a home run. Iced Vanilla latte was amazing! They did a killer job on it. And the beignets were hot and fresh! Very good all around. The service was very friendly and engaging. I think I will... More

The only con with Cafe Beignet is the limited seating however, that small con is nothing compared to everything right that Cafe Beignet brings to the table! Best French toast I have ever tasted in my life... The fruit was fresh and delicious! Warning-- be prepared for a lot of food! No one in my family could finish their breakfast!... More

Very busy café. Had a beignet for the first time. Was very good. I saw that breakfast sandwiches were very popular. Sat in the courtyard, but you have to wait for a table.

be sure to visit our 600 Decatur Street location, we have plenty of indoor space and sidewalk seating. You can watch the French Quarter stroll by! More

We dropped by for an afternoon snack. The beignet and service was good. It was a nice break from the heat of NOLA.

Omg! Cafe au laid and beignets were out of this world! Plus no lines, like at the French market! We also bought a w souvenirs like a coffee mug, a box of pralines, and ground coffee to take home! Cute little cafe!

We loved your review and that you took home a bit of New Orleans in the mug, pralines and coffee. It will remind you to come back soon. More

Staff friendly, beignets good..Some patron from the outside dining area kept coming in and checking herself in the mirror by our table which was annoying, maybe she was a lonely or waiting for a date , but it was distracting and subtracted from the experience

We went to this location because the one on Bourbon Street was having t was having sewage loudly pumped out by the street. I kinda wish we'd stayed at the one on Bourbon Street. We stood in a long, slow-moving line that ran throughout the length of the store and out to the sidewalk. It wasn't fun to be in... More

We regret that you experienced this delay. Bourbon Street itself is under some construction which drove more guests to our location on Royal than usual. We also now have an even larger location at 600 Decatur Street, just a few blocks away. It opened in March and is lovely. Thank you for letting us know so we can work on... More

This place has been here for some time and has developed quite a 'following' or attracted quite a crowd, if you will. Nearly anytime I pass, there is a line, occasionally a little out the door. The only thing we found redeeming was the charming courtyard (which was full so we sat inside) and the quaintness of the interior. It... More

Description
Café Beignet is known for their made-to-order Beignets, a puffy pillow of fried dough dusted with powdered sugar, and café au lait. But there is so much more! Coffees both hot and cold range from simple to flavored, a pastry counter is filled with sweet delights, and hot foods for both breakfast, lunch, dinner and sandwiches can be ordered at the counter. A sister establishment is a courtyard on Bourbon Street with live music all day.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
