Great service - delicious food - especially liked the pork crackling nibbles they gave us. Nothing too much trouble. Split seating areas gives privacy and dampens the noise. We would return if staying longer

Interesting experience – our visit started in confusion as we only had ordered drinks and appetizers, when suddenly no one returned and no items were delivered for awhile. Our server had been fired halfway into the shift, and a new server appeared eventually, apologized for the situation, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect after that. Items that were severely delayed due to the mix-up were removed from the bill. Plus, having 3 of our 6 guests celebrating a birthday, they brought candles out on top of our desserts, which was a nice touch!
My dinner, the trio called "Taste of Trenasse" (Louisiana Crawfish Pie, Pan Fried Redfish Meunière, Shrimp & Grits) was spectacular! I could eat that every week and it never get old, very very good, especially the crawfish pie.

We loved this restaurant. We actually intended to go to Luke across the street, but made the reservation for 2 instead of 4 and they could not accommodate us. We tried Trenasse with some trepidation because it's attached to a hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent, atmosphere was chill without being fussy, and the food was top-notch. Some highlights were the Stinky Stew - a medley of seafood in a butter broth, the CBD salad - a perfectly balanced and dressed salad, and the fries! in fact, the fries were so good that we came back the next day just to order fries and drinks! Definitely worth checking out!

I would not recommend this place nor would I ever go back there again.
I picked this place based on the reviews for my Wife's Birthday. Huge mistake!! First, it's inside a hotel and not a small restaurant as I wanted. Second, my wife ordered a steak medium rare and it was the absolute worst steak we've ever had. First, they gave her a dull steak knife to cut it with but, it was so dull, she couldn't cut through it and asked for another knife which was no better. Second, if the steak had been seasoned, you couldn't taste it since it was so bland. She gave me a bite and I was extremely disappointed considering the cost and that it was her Birthday dinner. We even asked the waiter if he knew how they normally seasoned their steaks, he said a very light seasoning on salt and pepper. Well, either it was extremely light or none at all. My Wife had to ask for salt and pepper to try and salvage the steak since she wanted to try and salvage what she could from her dinner which upset me even more.
I had the taste of Tenasse and it was very good.
Thus, I would not recommend this place nor would I ever go back there again. Tons of other great places to eat in NoLa but, this is not one of them.

Good food and superior service that gets tainted due to an abusive pricing policy than punishes customers not paying cash with some 4% extra.
In most of the free world cash is being put aside for many reasons. Prices at Trenasse are not low, and obviously consider more than healthy margins for the owners. Who carries today hundreds of USD in their pockets? The restaurant may say that there are ATMs around, completely missing the point on convenience and good experience.
Avoid.

Arrived and a queue at reception. My table was not ready. When it came to taking my order NONE of the fish on the menu was available and my first choice of wines unavailable. Service was good but when it came to pay there were two different prices, one for credit card and one for cash. I never encountered this before. It sends out the message that you are not welcome if you pay by credit card. This type of differential charging is hardly acceptable in this day and age when cards are the norm. I also felt I was being hurried from the table once I had finished eating even though I had not finished my wine.

We stopped in and were seated, when we were told the oyster shuckers were on break we needed to come back. When we came back the manager was totally rude, refused to seat us telling us that they had no tables while we could see tables empty. When one of us checked in later he was even ruder, while some of the same tables sat empty. Over half an hour later we find out the manager is not allowing take out or delivery. Still the same tables sat empty. A phone call to the GM was made and while he was nice and offered dinner another time, we are still walking away from this restaurant hunger and just pissed. The Manager even told us we would not be served there. Stay far away from the restaurant maybe then the manager will appreciate customers.

Sad to say most of the food at Trenasse was not good. For an appetizer my husband and I shared the BBQ which was pretty good except there was too much lemon in the sauce. For a main dish we shared Taste of Trenasse which consisted of crawfish pie which was OK, shrimp and grits(with a bland lemon & Leek sauce)... not good, an a tiny piece of fried trout meunière( sauce was dark green almost tasted burned and fish over cooked)... not good. My daughter did have Stinky's stew which she really liked and was enough to share. Thought it was overpriced and the quality of the food poor.

We liked Trenasse...liked, not loved. I can't stop thinking about that amazing cauliflower steak. I think it was the best dish I had in NOLA during my 5 days! But other food was good, not amazing. For the price I expected more. The service was mediocre (not attentive and forgot 4 different things). The other food was 7/10. And we had espresso martinis and found out when we got the bill they were $25 each!! UNREAL!!

This was a first visit recommended by a local couple who joined us. It was outstanding! All of us are watching our diets and each found a great entree. My bride enjoyed speckled trout a catch of the day with risotto and asparagus. I had a bowl of superb crab bisque. Our friends grilled redfish on house salads. Great service team and food.

we were looking to try a new place and looked online and enjoyed the menu of trenasse so decided to check it out. overall, great in all aspects
the space was small-ish but open and very relaxed. the service was great, the flavors of the food were good and the spacing/timing of the food was excellent
we started off with oysters and garlic bread and then ordered the veggie sample of friend green tomatoes with corn and a cauliflower steak, bisque and bbq shrimp, burger, cbd salad and trenasse sampler.
great items were the fried green tomatoes, the cauliflower, the burger and the bbq shrimp. the salad was average and the bisque not great
we finished with bread pudding which was also good flavor and each was huge portions
overall a great relaxed meal with good flavor

This came recommended via an Instagram friend, and I was so excited to try authentic Louisiana food with my family. My daughter ordered crab bisque, my son ordered the kids' chicken plate, my husband ordered mahi mahi, and I got shrimp and grits. Everything was absolutely stellar. The ambiance wasn't anything too terribly special, but the wait staff was attentive and helpful, and the food was perfection.

We went there late at 9 pm and it was still quite busy. We ordered two appetizers, the crawfish pie and the cauliflower steak and they were both very yummy. I especially loved the cauliflower. We shared the stinky’s stew and it was superb. We read about the credit card up charge and it was 4 %, not 2.5% written by another post. Not too happy but I was forewarned. Overall, great meal.

We had reservations at this restaurant and were seated promptly. I ordered the mani and my guest, the rib eye. The mahi was quite salty, the mixed sautéed veges were over cooked, slightly mushy and the potatoes were well, just potatoes. My guest’s rib eye was a bit tough, but cooked as ordered, medium rare. The Lambrusco failed to be the sparkling wine as described on the menu. Very loud. Not worth the money

A lovely restaurant in the Intercontinental Hotel New Orleans (but not operated by the hotel). The decor is pleasant and the service quick but friendly.
The menu is fairly small but had a good selection of local and standard fare. We had Sweet Potoato Gnocchi and Shrimp and Grits. Both were beautifully presented and tasty. An Orange Blossom cocktail and a beer added to the meal.
Not cheap but lovely food in a nice place, especially after a long day travelling.
