I have been to NOLA many times and Chinese food is the last thing I want to eat when the city flows with gumbo, shrimp poboys and jambalaya. I have never ever seen this place on Dauphine. We walked by late while on a ghost tour and I asked the guide what the place was. He replied it was amazing... More

Was recommended this Asian eatery by a tour guide. the place looks like it's closed down from the outside and is a little dark and tired inside. The food however is very good with great prices and they seems to be very popular with take outs. If wanting a Chinese meal whilst in New Orleans try this restaurant and don't... More

This place has been here a long time. It is the last of three Chinese Restaurants (in the last decade and a half or so) remaining in the Quarter (as the French Quarter is known to locals-- not including Takee Outee 'restaurant'). Doesn't look like much on the outside. In fact, except for the small signs on each side (it's... More

Great food at great prices. It is sad that this place so lowly rated on tripadvisor, but this is a place for locals more than tourists.

Hungry? Tired of poboys and crawfish? This is the escape you were looking for. Totally unpretentious, down to earth, home made cooking where the locals come to eat or for delivery. Right across the street from everything, with generous portions, and the best part: very decently priced! Plus it is perfect for people with dairy or gluten allergies like me!... More

Not the cleanest looking place, but food is decent for carryout. Had a dish with burned rice once. This is a good alternative to eating at a restaurant when you want something quick.

As reported, this restaurant looks "rather" drab on the inside. The sort of place that you'd prefer not to peek into the kitchen. There's no denying it has atmosphere and service is friendly. I thought my tofu banh mi was okay and our other two Chinese dishes (chicken and broccoli and a vegetable rice dish - can't remember the exact... More

The sidewalk along the top of the levee between the French Quarter and the Mississippi River in named the Moon Walk in honor of former New Orleans mayor "Moon" Landrieu. The name of restaurant “Moon Wok” is a delicious pun on “Moon Walk”. As another reviewer has noted, a new door might raise business by 50%. I hope they retain... More

Find this place, it a a few blocks off Bourbon Street and worth the effort. Small, family run, and wonderful food in a city not famous for Asian cooking. We were just in the mood for something different and for some reason Chinese food sounded like a plan. A local sent us to Moon Wok and no we visit every... More

We stopped in because our 11 year old daughter had been begging for Chinese food, which is somewhat hard to come by in the Quarter. We were not expecting much, but the food was really good. The sweet and sour chicken was not the usual frozen, processed nuggets, but rather a real chicken breast batter dipped and fried then cut... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
