After a few days of pricey and heavy food, the spinach salad at Cafe Envie was like gold. So delicious, filling, and healthy. Thank you for having this on the menu. Was so happy to eat it!

Went to envie nearly every day during our stay in New Orleans. The staff was so friendly, the coffee the best I had in the city and the location just the best. Can also recommend the Hummus plate... delicious for a snack/meal on the run. I shared it with my husband...

Really great food and the best iced coffee I've had here in New Orleans. Breakfast in a go cup = hashbrowns, grits, eggs, bacon, sausage and sausage gravy. My teenage son referred to it as Nirvana and wanted to go back!!

Coops a block down the street doesn't do dessert but EnVie has a great selection with quality coffee and tea. Also WiFi. $14 for two coffee, pecan pie and espresso brownie.

Coffee and alcohol? Perfect combination of quality ingredients or David the barista's beautiful soul and good taste? I'm not sure which I fell in love with more, but David did handpick a beverage for all four of us and even the one that doesn't drink coffee had a drink she described as exceptional... the Kingcake with fireball sounded a lil... Great laid back atmosphere. Both the coffee and food are good. Warning for those who dislike nature: it's dog friendly and sparrow friendly. Nobody seems to mind, but those with allergies should be aware. Some outlets if you need to recharge.

As good a cup of coffee as I have found in New Orleans. The staff are New Orleans quirky, absolutely not the overly friendly NOLA people-type but the coffee is worth going out of your way for.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
