As far as I'm concerned this place is expensive and food was not that great. Bakery item s where not good either. but one thing they do well is add Id say pretty expensive, there are much better places to eat there like across the street. .

There wasn't much open in March, so we didn't have much selection in Custer. We were pleasantly surprised. The Jalapeno burger and onion rings were good. The homemade buns were soft and chewy and a nice touch. They even offered gluten free buns upon request. The staff was very nice and the prices were reasonable.

We come to The Black Hills at least once a year if we can and since that first year when we found this place (recommended on the internet - possibly on this very site), we've come here at least once a year too. The first time we came it was incredibly crowded and we were asked if we'd mind sharing... More

Stopped in for breakfast. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable. Hash browns and bacon were delicious.

We stayed in Custer for 5 days and ate breakfast here every day even though the motel offered a free breakfast. It is a popular place but we never had a wait. The staff was always so friendly. It is very clean. And I am pretty darn picky about cleanliness. The variety of menu choices is good. Please try one... More

WE liked breakfast so much, we stayed an additional day just to eat there again. Excellent baked goods too. The wait staff was very friendly, reasonably priced, ample portions.

We went to Baker's in search of desserts and pastries and left in heaven. We only got two items, but I would go back everyday for them if I could. One was a raspberry filled cheese danish that was out of this world! It was so flaky, tender, buttery, and the filling was to die for. It was hands down... More

Cute place. Service was good. Ordered the salmon BLT but were out of it. So had chicken tortilla soup and steak burrito bowl. The soup had no tortilla strips in it and was super spicy ... I couldn't eat it but luckily a friend liked spicy and finished it. Burrito bowl was a huge portion and tasted good.

It seems we barely sat down and the food was at our table. Cooked just the way we asked for it and enough food to get us to the top of Black Elk Peak (formerly knows as Harney Peak). The staff is friendly and efficient. We will be back when in Custer
