pieking1, Manager at Bobkat's Purple Pie Place, responded to this review, 2 days ago I'm sorry that you were dissatisfied. If you had let us know BEFORE running out of the restaurant without paying your bill, and then screaming profanities when confronted, maybe we could have worked with you on that. I'm not sure where you saw us advertise for "full lunch and dinner service" but it wasn't our advertisement. Generally we advertise for "light meals" or "sandwiches, soups, and chicken pot pie." We have 6 sandwiches, 4 paninis, chicken pot pie and mac and cheese entrees, as well as various side items in our dining room. Our side that usually comes with meals is chips, but those can be substituted for either Mac and Cheese, one of two soups of the day, or a side salad. It is a smaller selection than other restaurants but "pathetic" might not be a proper description to most people especially since our main attraction is desserts. At the time of your visit (Memorial Day) we had run out of Prime Rib for our Beef Dip because of the very busy holiday weekend. Again, apologies, but these things happen from time to time in the restaurant business. That was the only menu item we were out of, and only for that day. When you ordered, our server was not aware that we were out of Prime Rib but as soon as the cook told her, she came back and took a different order from you. The other complaints about cold food didn't seem to bother you at the time because most of the food on your table was eaten and you never mentioned it while you were here. The mac and cheese that your child was waiting for only takes two minutes and our server was bringing it to you when she noticed that you and your party was trying to leave without paying for your meal. And yes, ONE of our restrooms was out of order. We had a plumbing issue on Sunday and because of the holiday weekend, we weren't able to get the plumber to come out until Tuesday. And no, there is nothing wrong with the lock on the other door. I'm sorry if you walked in on somebody but the establishment can hardly be blamed for one of our patrons not locking the door when they use our restroom. And nobody was exposed to any part of the dining room. The restrooms are in an adjacent hallway, out of view of the dining room. The assertion that we were not busy is also a misrepresentation of the truth. Our dining room and ice cream parlor were both near capacity while you were here. The dining room had 7 of the 8 tables occupied, the large table in the middle room was occupied, and the tables in the pie and ice cream portion were about half full. And we received no other complaints about response time or service during that time. Quite the contrary actually, especially after your tirade. Again, sorry you were not pleased. And maybe we could have addressed complaints that you had if you hadn't attempted to leave without paying for your meal. At that point a customer that was in law enforcement told us to call the police and only then did you return to pay. And you did so after lurching your car towards one of us and yelling profanities in our parking lot and then our dining room.
