A welcoming refreshment stop in the mountains. Service very friendly and while always busy a really great place for lunch. The Radler and beers are good too! Visit almost every year - recommended.

Stopped for lunch on a long walk, great food and quick friendly service. It was busy with a nice atmosphere a mix of walkers and mountain bikers.

Our friends had recommended a visit to Spielberghaus during our ski holiday and it was a great experience. You book in advance to get a place on the piste basher (at a cost of 8 EUR pp). The piste basher picks you up from a car park at the bottom of the run and you climb onto the cage at... More

We went here on a night out with skishcule and had a great night. Rode up on tractor and ate great home cooked food and lots of beer, fun games and ride down oin toboggan track.

As part of a piste basher taxi and sleigh ride we booked a final night meal (Friday). Everything went to plan and we arrived in style in the busy, but fun/friendly restaurant. The decor inside may not be as fancy or traditional as other Saalbach resort eateries but the basic Nordic internals and great table service mean you feel instantly... More

Travelled up to Spielberghaus for our toboganning trip in our group of twenty people. The ride up was by Piste-basher along the pretty 3 km tree-lined track by the river. Enjoyed a Gluhwein before the (should have been) exhilerating ride down. Actually on the day we chose, the ride was slow due to too much snow so more of a... More

This is the second year in a row that our ski club has booked for 25 of us to stay 3 nights at Spielberhaus. We have had an amazing time each year. The rooms are large and comfortable and very nice for a hut. The staff were very accomodating in coming to get us via snow cat when the weather... More

We paid 8 EUR to be taken up the track on the back of a piste basher - I understand it is about an hours walk and the track is well lit so I guess you could work up an appetite and save a little cash. Although you are a captive audience once up there the prices are only the... More
