Schloß Prielau / Restaurant Mayer are a charming combination of unexpected quality. Coming late in an autumn week I was possibly the only hotel guest and certainly the only diner. Despite the fact that the hosts could have suggested I eat elsewhere, I was made most welcome in a restaurant with a modern ambience but a touch of Austrian gemütlichkeit... More

We ate at Mayers as we were staying in the associated hotel. Food was really good. But not worth the overall cost

We were in Frankfurt just for a few hours waiting for our transfer flight and found this elegant restaurant after a long wander around Hauptwache area, which is full of German speciality eateries and stalls, which seem to be all the same. We were lucky to be able to sit outside enjoying the spring sunshine and excellent risotto and carpaccio... More

I have eaten foods ranging from $2 bites in the streets of Bangkok to Michelin restaurant courses in New York and San Francisco. I've learned that price nor location mean anything; the best chefs come unexpected and usually at affordable prices in unexpected places. Having said that, the food here is quite average. The risotto and lamb entré sauce were... More

Look, this place is expensive. But worth it ! We enjoyed this meal more than we have for a long time. We live in France and fancy ourselves as 'foodies' Each course we had was a surprise. Complex flavours busting on the tongue but not at all 'rich' The chef has a sense of humour. We ordered three dishes (you... More

If you want to go somewhere that is relaxed but serves amazing food in a stunning setting, then this is for you. We sat under a tree in the garden surrounded by beautiful views of the mountains and of the Schloss (castle) where the hotel/restaurant is situated. Just heavenly. The staff are friendly and efficient and we spent a happy... More

This was clearly an outstanding experience to visit Andy Meyer's restaurant, probably the best of entire Austria. I would not even like to compare it to anything else in the area, as it offers a state of the art combination of modern fusion cuisine with elements of molecular kitchen, so no hamburgers or schnitzels (however, to be fair - restaurant... Really good food, wine, service and amosphere! Fine dining, appropriate size of portions, so many elements and tastes. Only minus: green tea was made in too hot water. Meal wasn't cheap but it was worth of money. One of the best meals I have ever had in a restaurant. Highly recommend.

I've dined twice in this wonderful starred Restaurant placed inside a Schloesslein that's a perfect summary of austrian Renaissance. The atmosphere is supremely elegant, the service gentle and correct, the quality of cooking above every praise, the wine-list rich, the price correct for a restaurant like this one. Absolutely suggested!
