Big helpings of tasty food. Goulash was unusual but tasty, and a nicely cooked steak. Nothing refined but good after skiing. I would have given it 4, but as they allow smoking in the bar area (as do most Austrian restaurants and bars, it seems), I didn't appreciate the smell of cigarettes. Even the waitress was smoking at the bar... More

Dropped in here for the first time (I've been to Niederau for 20 years) recently when I was skiing as it's on the edge of the slopes. Delightful and will go again next year. Eurosport on TV allowed the locals and I to watch the World cup ski racing - a real bonus! Very Austrian and wonderfully friendly.

Massive portions, excellent service and on a prime site at the bottom of some fine little slopes. Good, usual Austrian fayre, although there is also a good amount of venison on the menu which I will be sampling at some point.

We have been visiting the Tennladen for many years both in summer and winter. New owners took over last year and have tried to revitalize the restaurant with mixed results. Unusually the restaurant does not have an English menu- have no issues with this as I speak German and we are after all in Austria but I suspect will put... More

After looking at reviews on trip advisor, we thought it would be a good place to eat. When we walked inside, my instant thought was that it smelt like wet dog. I soon realised that it was actually smoke. Everyone was smoking inside. The bar waitress also, she put down her cigarette and asked us what we wanted. We just... More

Nicely positioned at the far end of the Niederau system with a t-bar connection back to the main slopes. Outside tables catch the sun most of the day and lots of covers inside when it's not so nice. Big portions of pretty reasonable fare, an extensive menu and not expensive. Friendly service - a little slow when it's busy. Happy... More

Good for lunch and drinks at bottom of slope, quick friendly service, not too expensive. Convenient for refreshment midday before heading back up the slope or on the way down for après.

Situated right at the bottom of one of the drag lifts in Niederau at the far end of town. Stopped here a couple of times during our stay for a beer and some strudel. Great location and good service.
