I've been travelling regularly to various places in Austria for short ski breaks over the past 10 years or so. Of all the ski resorts I've been to, I haven't found a better restaurant than this place. The building itself is fairly typical from the outside but as soon as you walk through the front door you can tell you're... More

Went for a group lunch. Food was very nice. Huge portions so asked for a kid's portion which was fine. Fabulous wine bible if you after a bottle. Believe the cellar is amazing. Novelty slide that you can take down to the toilets. Good for lunch if you are over in St Christoph. Staff were lovely and all dressed in... More

My favourite place in St Anton, if not the whole Alps! Ask for the tour of the big bottle wine collection in the cellar, very special. Fabulous duck. Superb wine list. Good fun and efficient service. Don't forget to leave room in your suitcase for the empty bottle as a souvenir!

Visited last week while on ski holiday. Previous visitors and practically all the locals recommended it. Nicely positioned at the end of an easy blue run from the top of a bubble lift. They had no issue with a midweek lunch booking of c20 pax. Usual Austrian dishes on offer but quality much higher albeit for a slightly higher price... More

This a lively spot to stop for lunch after a morning on the slopes. The speciality drink: Testarossa is a tart, refreshing beverage to relax with. The traditional food is hearty & good. The potato soup with wurst was a favorite from our dish selection.

This is a lovely atmospheric, warm, traditional restaurant on the slopes of St. Christoph. Full of diners and drinkers, great food and music, just OK service. But the billing method left a bad taste in our mouths....No detailed bill offered, just the total amount, and when I asked to see it, it was put out of my reach on the... More

The over-all experience of the restaurant was wonderful - the venue, the location, the staff, the meal all contributed to a great evening . It was recommended by our hotel and was a short taxi ride from St Anton. We were met at the door by the maitre d' who was welcoming and took our jackets. As Australians, the internal... More

Not cheap but worth it for the ambience. Open fire, lederhosen clad staff and solid local food. Expensive beer.

We returned here several times during our week as we were made so comfortable and welcome! We were then invited down to the cellar which was incredible and a real special experience not to mention the slide down to the toilets. Staff are up for a laugh which always makes an experience better.

So glad we took the risk despite the handful of negative reviews on here. The restaurant is very cosy and traditional - think cow bells, wood beams, open fires and staff in lederhosen and dirndls. We visited on a Thursday night and it seemed relatively quiet. Our waiter was very attentive - he took our coats, showed us to our... More
