My wife relished every bit of the poke - top quality and meticulously prepared. There's a bit of tuna varietal and some salmon. Mine was of equal excellent quality - didn't regret every dollar I paid for it.

We had a late improvised dinner at Seiji. We sat at the bar and enjoyed some conversations with the owner which as been making sushi for over 40 years!! We eat sushi a lot and Seiji's Special is definitely a must. Fish is so fresh it was delicious. In addition it Bring Your Own Boose, which makes the whole dinner... More

True suburb sushi made fresh when you order! I travel frequently to Kona each month from the mainland for work. Every visit I go to Seiji's. I've developed a friendship with Seiji and his wife over the past year. We have fun interpreting each other and food along with love knows no boundaries. I always request the special and Seiji... My wife and I are very particular about the sushi we eat. Seiji's, however, definitely impressed us with the quality of fish they served. Of the four sushi restaurants at which we dined while in Kona, Seiji's was BY FAR the best. As we initially approached Seiji's, we were a bit skeptical. Located in a what looks like a lean-to,... This cozy, 16-seat restaurant tucked in the back of a mini mall has some of the best fish I've had anywhere (and that includes Tsukiji Market in Tokyo). The menu is limited, as befits a two-person operation (Seiji and his wife Chie). We started with a tempura appetizer, which included fresh local vegetables and two pieces of shrimp. The miso... I am giving Seiji an excellent review because the fresh sushi and other dishes are so incredibly delicious and authentic. Seiji (chef) and his wife, Chei (server) are a great team. It's a tiny restaurant with 3 tables (table for 6 people, table for 4 and a table for 2), plus 4 barstools where you can watch Seiji due his... More

First of all, if your looking for ambiance this is not the place for you. It is a tiny restaurant that has only three tables and a couple of chairs at a counter to sit at. Fancy it is not. Located in a small commercial square off of Alii Dr. it is not visible from the street. All of that... More

The best teriyaki chicken I've ever had! Friendly staff I will definitely be back before I go home. My friends had sushi and loved it as well.
