This was a very well executed and enjoyable event. There was something for everyone including children (not too small as the fire dancer could frighten). The food was plentiful and delicious (there is a children's assortment), the mai tai's wisely light on the alcohol but...More

Would recommend not to book front seats at extra cost as it's quite small so where ever you sit you can see the show clearly ,the only thing is they get you up first for your meal , the meal was ok . And alcohol...More

Performance and entertainment was very well done. The luau pork was delicious, the drinks (mai tai) were simple but tasty. Pre-dinner entertainment with cast members. Uncle Peni was very sweet. Singing and dancing was excellent.

The staff made this trip for us, such nice people. Eat the pork, learn the hula. They have food for the less adventurous and children as well.

I had read in Frommers Guide that this was the best Luau to go to if you had a choice and could only pick one to go to. We went to a Luau in Kauai, which was educative and fun. We saw a Polynesian show...More

First I will address the food and drink portion of the luau. I understand that the food and drink is all you can eat or consume, and drink, but the choices for alcohol was less than stellar, and the food was average-at-best. For $100 a...More

My wife and I were on Oahu for 1 week and the Big Island for a week. We did a Luau on each. That being said, both have shows and food that is virtually the same, i.e. same tour of the islands thru dance and...More

This is by far the best Luau Ive experienced on this island. The show is amazing. The fire guy was incredible. The story telling captured me. My favorite part about this luau is the authenticity of the location. The location is a preserved area where...More

If you call the concierge desk directly, they will take care of you. They gave us a kama'aina discount. We sat right by the stage and hit the buffet first. Drink station as well.

Guests of the Island Breeze Luau will be amazed with a display of authentic Polynesian activities, cuisine, and performances. Island Breeze Luau, located in right on the edge of the ocean of the King Kamehameha Hotel is rated the best lu'au on the Big Island by kama'aina (local residents)visitors and travel writers. The luau begins with a lei greeting and picture taking. An open bar, arts and crafts await you. The imu (traditional underground oven) ceremony, is also a part of the exciting beginning to your Island Breeze ohana (family). There are many ways to participate in the luau activities: weave a coconut frond, learn how to open a coconut, learn the art of hula, get a Polynesian tattoo, and take the time to meet and talk to some of the performers.
