Staying with friends in Seattle, we settled here after a long afternoon house hunting It was perfect, great staff and cocktails The menu was creative without being too "poncy" A great find

This restaurant has gotten rave reviews since it open about 4 years ago. Our first visit. You need to be more open to new food experiences to really enjoy the food. The chef is very imaginative and buckle up for a great food adventure.

If you want to challenge the range of your taste buds Poppy on Valentines Day is the place to go. There are so many directions to send your taste bus from Smokey to tart back to rich off to herby next FYI truffles . It's like hearing seven languages singing the same song. Out of this World food experience.

The restaurant is thoughtfully designed with "Poppy" colored glassy baby votives through out. “Thali,” is a platter served to each guest holding a variety of small dishes. It was interesting and each small dish was a delectable taste treat. I thought the platters were fairly priced as the items were unique and memorable. But $11 for a glass of wine... More

We came here for dinner during our trip to Seattle. This was another favorite restaurant of our B&B hosts, and again they were right on target. This is a little more casual place which filled up fast. We were glad we had a reservation, even midweek. Restaurant Week again allowed us to sample some great food at a very good... More

I love Poppy. I have been many times over the years, and it is always delicious. I love having a platter of powerfully tasty dishes, with only enough for a few bites of each, but just enough to fill you up. They also have great cocktails and a moderately extensive wine menu. The eggplant fries with honey are DELICIOUS! I... More

Not sure how to label the cuisine. Definitely had a sense of middle eastern flavors. Among the most interesting restaurants we visited.

Had dinner here in September, I was a little disappointed. The eggplant fries,,the grilled fig and gorgonzola popovers and the nigella were great. We then ordered the salmon which was the smallest piece of Salmon I have ever seen served as an entree. Our Daughter had been here the night before and had the salmon,a nice sized piece, she said her... More

We have dined on Jerry Traunfelds spectacular food when he was at The Herb Farm, and once after he left...it was not the same. So naturally we followed the chef to his own restaurant and were not disappointed! Jerry maintains his love of herbs that is so present in his dishes, just as they were during his time at The... I visited Poppy as part of Seattle Restaurant Week. I loved the whole Thalis approach. It was really fun having small tasty dishes to try that so nicely accompanied the main dish. The flavors were exquisite and out of the ordinary. Our visit was an epicurean delight. :) In addition, the service was friendly and fairly prompt. The only consideration... More
