Proust is one of my two favorite German beer halls in Seattle, the other being Bier Stube (a sister establishment). They carry an excellent range of really fine German beers, served in a more communal (and thereby Germanic) setting, with some really great food to back it up. Well worth a visit, whether it's time for Oktoberfest or not.

What a fun neighborhood pub with authentic atmosphere, steins and most important real German Beer. The friendly staff is a plus too.

A short sheet of German brewskies, a plate of wurst/kraut nicely served up on a lazy Sunday afternoon in a West Seattle stubbe is the only good reason to escape the odd unseasonal blinding sunlight.

Loved the Veltins Pilsner. Nice laid back atmosphere. A cool neighbourhood bar good for after work happy hours or mid afternoon pint on a Saturday.

This is one of my favorite places to hang out in seattle. The bar has a fun german atmosphere and the beer is delicious. Having been to oktoberfest, this is like a smaller version. The servers are great and personable.

This place has been open for 10 years and now has 3 other locations in Seattle. Small and pure German, with about 10 lagers on tap. Spaten, Paulener, Hoffbrau, and a few other German beers that you will seldom see. They have the appropriate steins to match. Only German bar food, pretzels, beet salad, brats, etc., so no schnitzel.
