I have always loved Alkii Cafe on Alki. Been going there for years. Having moved to Ohio 5 years ago I have truly missed this place. On a recent trip home I had the chance to share this place with my wife. We sat at a...front window and had a nice view of Alki beach on a beautiful sunny afternoon. The problem was deciding what to have. They still my two favorites, the clam chowder bread bowl & caesar salad and the apple chicken pecan salad. I must say the chowder and salad combo won out. Mi wife had the fish burger. They now serve Bloody Marys and they are OK. Next time back I am gonna for sure have my second favorite....the chicken pecan salad.More
We came as a group with 3 small children and really enjoyed our meal and the view of the beach from the dining room. The clams were specifically delicious, they were well seasoned and tender. The service was fast and friendly.
Had breakfast here - not much you can do to mess up a breakfast - eggs were cooked to order - French toast tasty - nice flavor to sausage - real good hot chocolate.
Seated Outside staring directly across the street to the bay -...great view of the seattle skyline - couldn't ask for better
The meal unfortunately was overshadowed by slow service - we were seated outside - waited - waited - waited - waited - another couple seated - waited - they got to order drinks - waited - they got to order breakfast - waited - their drinks came - our waitress now comes out (different than other couple), "what would you like"
The other couple who were seated after us actually finished their meals before ours ever came out.
Fix the service and this jumps up to 5 star ratingMore
Nice view from my window seat. Food was good. A little pricey. & Maybe they were short handed? The waitress seemed a little flustered. She walked by a couple times and I finally got her attention for a coffee refill. She appeared a little exasperated...and annoyed with me. She made me feel like I interrupted her. We would have stayed for another cup but again couldn't get her attention for a refill.More
We discovered this cafe while on a trip to Seattle. We stayed within walking distance to Alki a beach. I ordered the Yukon omelette and added avocado to it. It was unbelievably delicious!!! They don’t skimp on the size of the omelette or the ingredients...inside. I also ordered their vanilla latte and it was spot on! If you’re in the area, don’t miss breakfast here!More

Went here for breakfast with family who lives in Seattle. Breakfast was AMAZING! The potatoes that come with are so good. Their french toast is probably in the top 5 that I have ever eaten. Location and atmosphere are great. Definitely recommend the steamed clams,...they were to die for!More

We went into Alki Cafe when our original choice was closed for the holiday. It was light to moderately busy but service was fine. On checking the menu I saw that the had fried prawns. I am always a little cautious since restaurants now use...the description of prawn very loosely. A prawn is a type of large shrimp. What I received were the small butterfly breaded shrimp that you can get in the freezer section of the local grocery for a few dollars a box. These are shrimp, not prawns. They were hot and tasted fine but were much too expensive for what you actually get.More
