I ordered spinach ravioli and mushroom pizza. Both were just average. Spinach ravioli : I thought it is store bought just dipped in some tomato sauce mixed with cream. Under cooked, not at all fresh. the shell was hard and even the filling was chewy. Mushroom pizza : The size was small. Not at all hand tossed. Felt like you... More

The gnocchi is amazing! We got right in, but got there shortly after 5:15. It was a cute little place. The olive oil you get with the bread is so so good.

Been coming here for almost 20 years. Just a great low key, non-pretentious Italian spot. This was my favorite place in Seattle when I lived there and now that I have moved, I am always sure to make a trip here. I always get the gnocchi, which is simple and awesome. The alfredo is always great and I love their... More

Boring, out of date pasta house, with the same dishes I saw in a small town 'family style' joint in the 1980s. Yeah, it's cheap, but spend just a little more somewhere else for something that's actually worth leaving the house for. Or just stay home and save up for something better.

This restaurant is small and isn't super appealing in the looks department but it has the most amazing Italian food. It's like home cooked and delicious and rich and the taste is spot on. The prices are great too and the service was awesome. I highly recommend this place!

I had seen the line up in front of Machiavelli for the individually operated old-school Italian food. Finally went for dinner last Wednesday. Had a short wait in the bar with a glass of wine and made new friends with other folks waiting for a table. Dining room is not fancy, but clean and well orchestrated. There were no service... More

Every time that I am at Seattle, I have to eat at Machiavelli Restaurant. The service and the quality of the food are awesome. It is a small place so you have to wait at least 45 minutes but it worthy.

We heard that the restaurant was very crowded. So we came full 15 minutes before the restaurant was open at 5 pm. Well, it was not that crowded at that time but when we leaft, many people were already sitting in the seat waiting to be seated. Was the food that great? I ordered artichoke and mushroom pizza and I... More

Be prepared to either arrive right when they open at 5pm, or be willing to wait on the list for up to an hour for a seat in this very small but excellent eatery. They don't take reservations, so be forewarned. You might ask whether it is worth the wait? (I know I certainly was with two increasing ravenous and... More
