The title says it all. I've eaten at some of the best sushi restaurants in the country, and this was the experience that convinced me that ordering omakase is mostly a gimmick (unless the chef actually knows you or is truly a sushi master). Otherwise, the fish here was pretty good, but it was difficult to have a good experience... More

Visited here with clients for dinner. I'm glad i made a reservation because when i arrived at 5:30 (opening time) there was already a line outside (good sign!) This place is really a gem. The food and service were wonderful. The three of us split some appetizers including Seaweed salad, Shishito peppers, and Geoduck. All were excellent. We then split... More

Two big tips my fellow TripAdvisors: 1- Ask the waiter for recommendations, don't order for yourself. Trust me, they know what sushi is best for that day. 2- Get a reservation, otherwise you'll be waiting for a while. The sushi haunts my dreams, because I know I'll never get that good again. I was in Japan and this place tops... More

Very good entries are black cod and tempura. Nice dessert. Give a try, you will enjoy. I choose this place in the last day of me trip, I dont have a reservation and the restaurant is small. So lucky!

We checked out quite a few of the top rated sushi restaurants on our trip to Seattle and Shiros was the best. Their nigiri was melt in the mouth delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Years ago on a trip to Seattle, a hotel concierge pointed me to Shiro's as the best in Seattle. I tried it then and have gone back every time I've visited Seattle since. The fish could not be fresher. Whether its sushi, sashimi or a specialty dish, you won't be disappointed. The service staff is knowledgeable, attentive and very helpful.... More

I had high hopes that Shiros was going to be a really great sushi place. I actually found it to be mediocre. The sushi is somewhat overpriced, and I tried several other items on the menu including broiled black cod. It was all very good but not great. The sushi is above-grade from any run-of-the-mill sushi restaurant (and I've eaten... More

I always to to Shiro's when travelling to Seattle. I took 3 business associates. This is the best sushi that I know of in Seattle. I worked in Japan before and the quality matches good places in Tokyo. I prefer sashimi and it was really fresh. I highly recommend it but you'll need a reservation. Favorites: Sockeye salmon, chu toro,... More
