This used to be a fancier spot, but now a decent place to get a quick bite. Sit by the window for some good people watching.

SEATTLE ART MUSEUM "Taste" cafe used to be a great, civilized place to enjoy a nice lunch. No longer after revamping. I don't want to pay more the $15 !!! for a kale & chicken salad which was soaked in way too much, unappetizing intense dressing. The portion was huge, what's up with that? I couldn't endure even half. (Only... More

Do you enjoy limited food selection, mostly in plastic containers in a cold case? Is it fun for you to stand in line just to place your order for anything else, as well as to pay, then wait more and have to go pick up whatever else you ordered? Do you like dealing with staff who a) cannot get an... More

Food fine. Easy to grab a quick bite and in the museum. Food on the expensive side for a little lunch. But clean and friendly service.

Had a quick dinner here before seeing a film at the Seattle Art Museum. I'd been here years ago and they've changed the layout and decor significantly. On a dark, rainy night it was bright and comfortable. My friend and I each had a different soup and they were truly exceptional. Pricing is moderate and, with a SAM membership, you... More

I have lunched at Taste, and stopped by for a light supper before the Symphony. The food is tasty; the setting attractive and the waitstaff is friendly and helpful.

The food I'd good but very expensive for the portions and the service is slow. Also, the hostess at the front counter was rather dismissive on the several times I have visited with friends.

Most people fail to notice that many museums provide a useful location for reasonably priced food without setting foot in the actual museum. This often includes fast service and menus that cover any special requests (vegan, gluten free etc). In Seattle's case, Taste has both a bar/counter area and regular tables and unlike some museums, takes reservations on Open Table.... More

After thre hours of the SAM we had a great lunch. Recommend the small plates with lots of "tastes," the fries and deviled eggs...YUM!

We had read reviews placing this cafe in the forefront of area places for a bite to eat. since we were wrapping up a few hours in the SAM and didn't want to dodge crowds in the Pike Place Market, this was a definite plus! Food was great. Portions as expected and prices average for the area. Enjoyed beer and... More
