We visited for dinner following multiple recommendations of some well informed Seattlites. The location was beautiful. However, from, the start, the service was awkwardly hostile and waitresses surprisingly untrained in proper service. 1. When presenting dishes that contain unfamiliar ingredients, it is customary to have the waiter place the plate and then describe the content. "This is nettle, this is... More

We had a great dinner here. Be aware that the menu changes daily to take advantage of what's in season. Two of us shared a salad, steamed clams, root vegetables and quail. Each dish was meticulously prepared - wonderful combination of flavors and sauces. Plenty of food for two of us - enough to take some home. Dessert was superb... More

Last night in Washington State and so a trip downtown to try out the shared tables in front of the cooking fires at Sitka & Spruce. The atmosphere in what looked like a renovated industrial shed with a number of small bars and restaurants was buzzy and chic. The atmosphere was great with friendly staff who squeezed us in on... We came across this restaurant at the last minute on our first night in Seattle - what a find! The menu - which we understand is changed regularly - is eclectic and all of our chosen dishes, from a charcuterie plate to leeks with smoked salmon and a lemon sauce, were both attractive and delicious. To this I would add... More

On a recent trip to Seattle, I took my two adult sons here for their birthdays. How can one spend $190 on food and a couple of cocktails and leave hungry? I enjoyed sitting at the Chef's table and the cocktails were excellent. The food is presented beautifully, which is their "thing." However, I prefer food that tastes at least... More

That was the only con, the food was so good that ordered too much food. They are also lacking of local wines offer but I must say they have some other very good wines. The place is good to accommodate a couple as well as a large group. Open kitchen, wooden furnitures on an old style market. I want to... More

After seeing the positive reviews, I scheduled a business dinner at Sitka and Spruce. What a mistake! For starters, the restaurant is very small and noisy. And the food was a huge disappointment. We started with bread (average), olives (incredibly expensive and average), the charcuterie (average) and a salad (average). The nettles and pasta, and the dessert (a chocolate pot... More

Several of my friends and I have been wanting to come here for a while and finally decided to come since my friends mom was visiting from out of town. We should have known when we saw there were only 2 other tables with people that it was not going to be such a great experience. I do have to... More

We visited Sitka&Spruce for dinner with Friends. The venue is nice and the menu small but well selected. However, the staff was harshly and questions on the menu felt not robbe welcome. The served food was a pleasure. Mixed feelings in all.

This restaurant is set in a converted warehouse with beautiful brick walls and large windows. It is behind some artisanal shops selling different foods. The menu is incredibly original and based on seasonal and local availability. It is a charming place that is appropriate for friends, couples and maybe families (older kids not little ones). This will be a new... More
